Despite the major preparations that had gone into planning their visits with the remaining groups, everything felt like it was moving in slow motion. Everyone seemed open to in-person discussions.    A sense of something heavy rested on Kai’s subconscious in the days leading up to their leaving. Even for mid-Spring, the sky was overcast and a slight chill was in the air. She decided it had been too long since she visited her brother.
