The Possession.

Dinner was a disaster. Daisy wouldn't stop trying to jump on the table and eat with me. The cook even got her some chicken wings in her bowl but she wouldn't stop trying. (The bones were removed from the wings to ensure safety for my dog). Eventually she dragged down the tablecloth from the table and down went all the chef's effort. Aunt Cece was furious while the chef burst into tears at the sight. Chef Pierre wanted to welcome me properly because he was one of the many friends I had in the Kristiàn estate. I had to comfort him while Aunt Brigette ordered pizza to which all of us obliged happily. Uncle Jeff came home from his meeting and was really tired so he decided to call it a night. Alaric and The twins tried not to laugh at the mess Daisy made. While the maids were trying to clean up everywhere Daisy was busy eating any food she saw on the floor. That husky is really something. The twins, Alaric and I decided to play in the game room while we wait for our pizza to be delivered. There were no other children in the house apart from Alaric,The twins and I. They were all Uncle Jeff and Aunt Brigette's children, Alaric being the first born. Aunt Cece has refused to settle down and so she doesn't have any children. She prefers to deal with the animals at the Veterinary Clinic the Kristiàns own. Whenever we come for holidays I like to help out there because I share the same love for animals she does. The twins had temporarily forgotten about my s*x life for the time being so I was enjoying all the time I had without those girls pecking at my neck. We were busy talking about the last time our cousins from Kristiànsand visited. The place was named after our family because we were the first ever to inhabit it. It used to be unclaimed land a very long time ago. Now it was where a main branch of Kristiàn pharmaceuticals was located. The main hospital branch is here in Oslo. "I can't believe Jenifa stole my favorite Burgundy lipstick"Claire growled and I laughed at the memory of her pulling Jenifa's red hair off her skull. "That didn't give you any reason to put green dye in her hair wash" I said calmly while Clarke snorted in an unlady like manner. "Serves the b***h right. She was flirting with my boyfriend" Clarke grumbled lowly as she picked her phone up and smiled instantly. "Here we go again" Claire groaned while Clarke glared at her playfully and rushed out of the room to answer a call. "So Apes," Alaric turned to me with a predator like smile on his face and says the line I've been dreading ever since I got here. "Tell us the name of this boyfriend of us" Claire's eyes widened a fraction and she ran out of the room to bring in Clarke knowing she won't want to miss out on whatever is going to happen now. "Alvin" I said in a disinterested tone, hoping Alaric would drop this but it seems he's having none of it. "Surname?" He said again, like the annoying interrogator that he is. I tried to rush this conversation with Alaric so the twins won't have to blabber but I shouldn't have hoped for that because lady luck isn't on my side today. Clarke and Claire run into the room and sit way too close to me while I groan and run my hands through my braids. "Alvin Stone. End of discussion. I'm not saying s**t anymore." I growl but they have other plans. Alaric looked at Claire briefly and she smiled sweetly before rushing to the door and locking it then tossing the key to Clarke. I stared at them incredulously, annoyed at the team work they were able to pull off. Claire rushed back to me and grabbed me by the shoulder. "Come on!" She cried and tries to pull off a cute face. "Don't be a bad sport. Just answer the goddamn questions, and it's not like you-" "Dude just f**k off" I groaned at them and their eyes widen at me cursing at them. As if on cue, Alvin's message enters my phone and I tried not to fume at the bad timing. Clarke sighed and handed over the keys while I smiled triumphantly and unlocked the door. I marched to my room and saw a tiny furball running towards me. I picked her up and opened my door, sighing at how my bags are littered everywhere. I put my dog down and began to arrange all my clothes into my closet. When I'm quarter way done a maid knocks at my door and indicates the pizza is here. My stomach growled simultaneously and Daisy tilts her head to the side cutely, wondering what that sound could be. I had a feeling the pizza was going to be at the game room and I so I head towards that direction. The twins are already sitted with the pepperoni pizza and I try to grab at one but Claire swats my hand away. "What?" I asked confusedly and they grinned wryly at me. "Give us the gist and we'll give you the pizza" Clarke said. I knew the twins weren't going to let me off easily but I didn't think this was their master plan. Too bad it worked out anyway. "You guys are pigs" I sighed and plump down the leather couch in defeat. "How tall is he?" Claire said before I can even breathe. "He's 6'3" I answered easily. Clarke gasped dramatically and I rolled my eyes. "How did you know that?" She asked and I glared at her. "He's my boyfriend" I said icily. "What color are his eyes?" Claire asked again and I can't believe they are making me go through all this. "Emerald green"Clarke answered before I could. "Oh and I'm guessing he's Latino, could see his complexion clearly" Clarke said again and I narrowed my eyes at her. "Lay off my boyfriend" Instead of shrinking away, they start cooing at me. "Uuuuuh, Apryl's the jealous and possessive type" Claire said dreamily. "That means she's a dominant. But wait, that can't be right. I don't see Alvin being a submissive." Clarke Said thoughtfully and I'm positive if my skin was as fair as theirs then I would be a tomato right now. "Is he...rough? Way more possessive than you? doesn't give quick kisses but will surely opt for French?Grabs your butt and pinches you when you don't want to give him access?" I closed my ears and eyes, praying I didn't hear right. Apart from serious make outs, I haven't done anything else with Alvin. "He gets angry" I answered coolly. "Like the time he beat my ex to a pulp and almost killed some pervert dude that was all over me" The twins were quiet right then and I'm positive it's because I mentioned my ex. Albert was a douchebag. A waste to the Earth's space. He was responsible for the dark times I've had in my life. Right from the time we even started hooking up he did me no good. He was a cheating bastard who f****d everything with boobs and a v****a. He had been a friend since when I was younger. Anytime we came to Nigeria during the holidays he was always there. He was also one of the most popular Boys at our school so I thought it would look good if I dated him. How foolish I was. He made me feel like trash and my only joy was that I was never in love with him. Albert had an inferiority complex. He wasn't as Rich as the other people at our school so he made a lot of things up. I used to live in the capital of Nigeria (Abuja)before my dad decided we were going to move to Plateau state to have a more private life. There's a school in the quiet city named Hill Crest, which was owned my Americans so basically all the white people and mixed kids in the state attended the school. It was an elite school, having the best results in the state and wealthy Nigerians also attended the school. Albert came from a well to do family, but definitely not a rich one so it took everything from his parents to afford the school. I was believed to be one of the richest and hottest girls in the school so maybe it was why he wanted to be with me. Hearing he used to cheat was annoying, because the girls were never able to offer him all that I had. And although we lost contact after our break up,Albert regretted everything he did to me because Alvin made it his job to make his life a living hell. Simply put, Albert was a huge mistake, something that didn't deserve anything good to come his way. Our relationship was toxic, did things to me even Khadija could never do. When I had a reason to break up with him I was extremely relieved and I wondered how I had ever settled for a scumbag like him when Alvin was always there. "Guys it's okay. I'm really cool about it. I don't care anymore. Albert doesn't matter anymore." I smiled reassuringly and they eased up a bit. "So what's he like in bed?I'm sure with all those abs and muscles he's got he has to be a god." Claire chattered animatedly. "We haven't had s*x yet" I said and bit the last bit of my pizza. Claire made a face and Clarke looked confused. "He has that tiger aura. I'm honestly surprised he hasn't pounced on you yet" Claire paused for effect and continues. "Is he cherishing you? Or maybe saving you for marriage or something?" God,these girls..... "So you're still a.... Virgin?" Claire said, like it was some sort of animation. "Yes,and we'd rather keep it that way. I'm still pissed at your mates for f*****g with you when you were under age" We suddenly heard Alaric's voice by the door. I couldn’t believe he heard our whole conversation! It's the twins turn to blush like tomatoes and I laugh at their priceless faces. But as I replayed his words in my head,I suddenly felt confused. "Why did you call their boyfriends mates?" I thought that was meant for animals really. Maybe Alaric doesn't like their boyfriends,so he's trying to refer to them as animals or something. The twins blushed again at my question and race out of the game room while Alaric chuckles. "You're so mean" I said and made a face at him. "Trust me cuz. I know" ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ Another nightmare. It was happening again. Apryl rose up from her bed with a gasp, her head seriously pounding. The man in her dreams was at it again, and her pounding heart indicated she was way past terrified. She thought it was going to stop the second she landed in Norway, but it wasn't supposed to be like that unfortunately. She felt suddenly thirsty, and she decided to get water from the kitchen. Daisy was still curled up at the side of her bed, fast asleep. She crept out of the room slowly when a soft breeze caressed her cheek. Her name. She could hear a voice calling her,and she knew she had to answer to it. It sounded enchanted and somewhat animated. Apryl turned around and followed the voice. She really felt like she was under a spell. At that time, she saw a light,it was already dimming not because it was dying out but because it was traveling down the hallway. She followed it swiftly, her curiosity besting her fear. She was getting tired, but her feet willed her on,as if they had a will of their own. She had no idea how but she was already in a deserted hallway and standing in front of the a door. The light that had led her to the deserted hallway slowly began to die away. She heard the voice call her name this time with a tiny hint of laughter to it,almost assuring her she wasn't going to get into trouble. Apryl turned the doorknob and entered the room and that was when she finally felt like herself again. Of all the times she had been at the estate, she had never been to this place and certainly not this room. The room was very dark so she couldn't see anything. But for all that it was worth she was positive all sort of crawling insects and cobwebs lived there. Apryl hated those..... At the far end, towards the corner of the dark room, was a glass box. It was a bit wide and long, almost reaching the ceiling. The closer she went to the box,the more it began to rattle,as though something was struggling to escape the box. She came closer and closer and closer. Suddenly, the rattling stopped and the box exploded into bits. A dark cloud emerged from the box and she noticed that in the midst of the fog, there was a dull red light. Apryl was shocked for a second. She couldn’t believe that what she was seeing was real. Adrenaline kicked in and she turned and fled. Meanwhile, the whole house was awakened by the crashing sound they heard. It didn’t take an Einstein to tell them what was happened. “Dammit?” Jeff shouted in fear. “Where is she? Why isn’t she here if her room door is wide open?” “I think it’s the demon” Cecelia was fast to react. “We need to get to the demon before she does” Chef Pierre sprung into action. Everyone teleported to where the box was- or should have been. They raced out of the room immediately to find out where the demon must have gone. As soon as they stepped into the hallway, they realized they were too late. Apryl was already on the floor and screaming as she felt like a thousand daggers were cutting through her flesh. The pain was too excruciating it even blinded her. Apryl felt her bones breaking and reforming into something she couldn’t decipher. The wind around her was blowing violently and she was scared about being tossed away by the force of it. “Make it stop! Please make it stop!” She screamed. Her family appeared and circled themselves around her and suddenly, their eyes began to glow. She should have been freaked out but the pain and fear she felt at that pointed numbed her senses. The Kristiàns tried and tried to stop the anchor from possessing her but everything felt futile. Nothing was working and they wouldn't be able to stop the anchor if she fully possessed Apryl. Finally it stopped. The wind. The pain. The confusion. The fear. And when she finally opened her eyes to look at the people in front of her,her feet gave way and her world went perfectly blank.
