Brandy I was glad when Monday rolled around. The time in the safe room with father and Timmy had been very uncomfortable. Father was always very careful when Timmy was around us. He didn’t want to ruin his image in front of his son. He knew Timmy absolutely adored me and wouldn’t, for one second, think twice about standing up for me and scolding father. He knew this from experience because there had been one time when father had slipped about a year ago. Father said something mean and degrading to me and Timmy was right there standing up for me. He’d made father feel very uncomfortable about his actions and, I’m sure guilty. Father didn’t do anything that night, but the next time he had me alone, I’d paid the price for Timmy’s interference.
