Brandy Sunday went by quickly, especially since I ended up sleeping half of the day away. I’d finished my studies and then did quiet activities with Timmy. We did some coloring, watched a few movies, and had dinner in bed. When Luther came to collect him for bedtime, I waved him off. After doing the nightly ritual—shower time, brush teeth, etc—I let Timmy settle down in bed with me. I was needing a little extra time with my amazing little brother because my heart was hurting and I was feeling rather vulnerable. After he fell asleep, I silently cried, allowing all of the pent up emotions I had experienced in the last forty eight hours out. I was still hurting over what my father had done.
