My day has been incredibly busy. Two hours after I got to my office, I got a call from the Council. They were calling to advise me that they had just left Kamaria. Apparently, they had finished the examination on the vehicle, and Cara was right; it had been tampered with. I felt sick at the lengths that they were willing to go to to try to force the sisters to comply with their wishes. If Cara hadn’t overheard what they were planning, they might have been forced to be the chosen mates of the Beta and Gamma now. Even if Brenna and Luna managed to escape, Cara would have definitely been forced to be a breeder for Paxton. Their lives would be very different now if they had not run away.
