I don’t know what made me say it. Yes, it disgusted me that Thane was going to feed on the woman in front of me. it disgusted me even more that she was a willing victim. I knew some humans offered themselves. Those who knew about our world, usually previous victims who had been left alive and now craved it like a junky craved drugs but to see it with my own eyes, made my stomach churn.
It was more than disgust though. I didn’t want to watch him sink fangs into another, and that was terrifying. Had I become one of their survivors already, craving their bite and getting jealous when they wanted another? When they had taken my blood, had some kind of bond snapped into place. It didn’t bare thinking about.
