Squeezing his hand, she led them up the porch steps. She stared at the front door for a couple minutes, unsure of what to do. Did she knock or just walk right in?
Deucalion reached around her to ring the doorbell. His hand landed on her waist, rubbing comfortably.
The door opened a moment later to reveal her Aunt Anna. Her brown eyes were warm. "Allison!" Reaching out, she pulled Allison into a breath-stealing hug.
Allison hugged her back, fighting the urge to cry. "Hey, Aunt Anna. It's been a while."
