Tess's Point of View

Alpha Richard has been amazing. He showed me last night to the most beautiful room I had ever seen.

Growing up I was use to white walls, wood floors, and carpet if I was lucky, but normally I had a twin-size bed with a decent mattress. However, this room was beautiful. The walls were a beautiful dark royal blue with grey hardwood floors. In the center of the room against the back wall was a huge queen size bed. The bedframe was grey and looked so soft and the bed had white sheets with a royal blue comforter.

Before leaving me in the room a young woman appeared with a tray of food and a change of clothing. I thanked both of them and before the Alpha left he wished me a good night's rest and told me he would be by in the morning to take me to breakfast.

I ate the food at the desk in the room and then took the clothes I was given and went into the bathroom.

The shower was huge and had two showerheads. I had never seen that before. As I turned the shower on it was like rain was coming from the showerheads and when I got in the water falling onto my body felt like a mist. I smiled and enjoyed the shower.

After taking a shower I put on the t-shirt and sweat pants and walked over to the bed.

As I got into the bed I moaned as my body melted into the mattress and soon I fell asleep.

I woke up to someone knocking on the door and I didn't want to get out of bed. As the knocking kept happening I rolled out of the bed and walked over to the door and opened it. Standing there was the Alpha.

"Good morning," I said as I wiped the sleep from my eyes.

"Morning little one. I have clothes for you. Why don't you get dressed and meet me at the office two doors down and I will take you for breakfast."

I grabbed the clothes and said, "Thank you."

I shut the door and decided to rinse off in the shower. I quickly got dressed and walked over to his office. Since the door was shut I knocked.

"Come in," I heard the Alpha say.

I opened the door, and there he was my mate. He was sitting across from the Alpha, and he smelled amazing. As I walked over to the empty chair next to him I wanted him to look at me but he kept his eyes on the alpha. I noticed his right hand go from relaxed and turn into a fist.

As I sat down the alpha smiled at me and said, "That was fast."

"Well, I always had to make things quick. YOu never know when the hunters would come."

"Do we need to worry about the hunters?" My mate asked.

I looked at him and shook my head. "No, they think they got the last of us."

"Are you sure?" He asked me.

"Yes. My mother hid me and when they checked the house they didn't find me. I was in a tree hiding."

"Couldn't they smell you or sense you."

"Seems like you want me dead. NO, they could not smell me or sense me. They are humans who want our blood," I said as I looked at the man who was my mate. I felt the anger inside of me rise and I knew my eyes were black.

"Enough you two. Tess calm down." The alpha said.

I looked at him and smiled while I took a few deep breaths.

"Better?" He asked me and I nodded my head.

"Ben stop being a d**k and pestering the poor girl. Now Tess after breakfast we will go and take the DNA test. The results according to Dr. Hugh will take about two days."

"That is quick."

"It is but at least we will have answers. Now, how about breakfast."

I smiled and said, "Yes."

"Ben please do what I have asked you to do and then I will speak to you later."

"Yes, Alpha."

Alpha Richard and I walked into the dining room and all of a sudden I heard the loudest growl I have ever heard.

"Why is she here?" I heard my father say.

"Gamma Dallas please calm down," Alpha Richard said.

"I will not come down. She needs to leave," MY father said as he pointed at me.

"Everyone out now except the gamma and his family," The alpha yelled.

The alpha grabbed my hand and pulled me over to a chair, and helped me sit down.

"Now let's get this over with. Gamma Dallas you will be accompanying me to the pack doctor and a DNA test will be taken."

"DNA test. Dallas what is going on?" The woman sitting next to him asked.

"Don't worry about it."

Just then I started to laugh. "Oh, this is rich."

I Stood up and looked at the man who my mother claimed to be my father and said, "Alpha Richard thank you for the hospitality but I think it's best that I go. Clearly, he does not care."

I started to walk out of the room when I heard the alpha say, "Stop Tess. Where will you go?"

I turned around and looked at him and said, "My mother always knew that there was a chance he would not accept me. She planned ahead and I need to get to safety before the hunters discover I am alive."

"But you said they wouldn't know?"

"I know but eventually someone will talk about how they met the last siren. They will come."

"Siren. Dallas what is going on?" The woman before asked again.

"She is claiming to be my daughter," My father said.

Just then I heard the sound of a smack and turned around. The woman had smacked my father and the look of disgust was on her face.

"You cheated on me?" She screamed.

"No honey I did not."

Before the women could say anything I said, "He met my mother before he met you. Actually, Layla is a few months younger than me.," Then I walked away.
