15. The Bad Butcher’s MeatThe trail was dark but for the dim light of the two moons. There were strange glows appearing in the branches ahead and Sabienn noticed the presence of phosphorescent insects on the wing. He’d seen them once before in a forest in his homeland and they were creatures of a name unknown to him.
At that moment, Naymee stopped and stood still. Sabienn and his friends’ senses heightened as they tried to feel if something was wrong.
They all looked on as she held out her hand to the side and the glowing insects came to her and formed a warm lit globe of flying things around her hand. None of them touched her but used her as geography in their journey. Like a headland for them to move around.
