Charles returned to the room with a pitcher of water a tray of small sandwiches for her, the cook had it waiting in the icebox for her. He had smiled when he noticed it, glad someone was thinking of his girl as well. He sat the tray on the dresser, sitting the pitcher of water right beside it. The smell of sweet orange oil and tears hit his nose, she had been crying. He grabbed the cup that he had on the tray and poured her some water, taking it into the bathroom he sat beside the tub. Elizabeth's eyes were red and puffy, she had been crying again, her hair was freshly washed making her look like a drowned cat.
