ANNIE Kameron disappeared for a while, saying he wanted to go check on Helen.  While "was gone, a nurse appeared with some clothes.  “We have a little cupboard of clothes that are donated for the Emergency Room.  Hopefully these will fit you,” she gave me an apologetic smile and passed me a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt.  The pants were a little snug, and the elastic was stretched to the max, but I was able to get them over my hips.  A few minutes later I signed my own discharge papers and went looking for Kam. I found him at the end of the hallway deep in conversation with Jim.  Whatever they were talking about, they cut it short when I approached.  Kam eye’d my ill-fitting outfit with a raised eyebrow.  I shrugged and tugged at the t-shirt, trying to cover my butt, at least a little
