It took all of my strength and will not to take the bait that they were throwing at me. I really wanted to jump to Annie’s defense when they started pointing fingers at her, but I bit my tongue. The fact is, my relationship with Annie was none of their f*****g business, and I wasn’t even going to justify their accusations by acknowledging it. Likewise, she had nothing to say.
