Chapter 6 George waited anxiously with the other actors in the lobby of the Geffen after the performance. He knew Casey was supposed to be there. He’d said he’d come. When he’d been on stage, George hadn’t been able to make out Casey in the audience. Too many lights. It had been a blur. But the day before when they’d had a quick lunch during Casey’s break at the hospital and prior to George going for dress rehearsal, Casey had promised he’d be there.
