April stepped from the car under the port-cochère at the Majestic and gazed up at the hotel that held so many memories for her. Her shower luncheon and wedding, her parent’s anniversary, fireworks and ice cream on the beach, and the lighting of the outdoor Christmas tree. Over the years, she’d visited countless times. “Welcome to the Majestic,” an attendant said while another held the passenger door for Junie. “Are you staying with us?” “We’re here for lunch,” April replied. “You chose a beautiful day for it,” he said.
