"I am taking you away for a few days," Aleks told me when we woke up the next day.
I looked at him questioningly. "What do you mean? Take me where?"
"To somewhere exotic. So we can be alone together," he said, pulling me closer to him.
"Like a vacation?" I whispered.
"Yes, like a vacation," he said, smiling.
I've never gone on a nice vacation before, so this seemed like a dream come true. "Where are we going?"
"I am thinking Cabo. I have a house there. Why don't you start packing your bags? We will leave first thing in the morning," Aleks said.
This all seemed so sudden. I wondered if Aleks found out that Isaac was still after me, so he was trying to take me away from him. But either way, I was excited about going to Cabo.
