Isaac and I marched forward on a mission to find the mysterious figure Everleigh was talking about. There were only a few that were in charge of transporting the girls, so it shouldn't be too hard to narrow it down.
I was surprised that Isaac made that kind of promise to her. He never promised things like this, only saying what was necessary and nothing more. I didn't think he cared and only wanted to say yes so she would calm down. But maybe he really did like the girl.
"So we are actually going to find the guy and hand deliver him to her?" I asked Isaac again.
Isaac nodded. "Yes. A promise is a promise," he said seriously.
"But why? he was doing his job," I said.
"He didn't have to kill her sister," Isaac said grimly.
