As soon as I stepped into the hotel with my men, anger surged through me like a raging fire. The sight of Venus’s absence ignited my fury. The tension was palpable, knowing that if I didn’t locate her soon, a catastrophic war would erupt between the wolf king and the hunters.
The fragile peace we had maintained hinged on our agreement, providing the wolf king with small doses of Venus’s blood. I had meticulously managed the arrangement, ensuring her well-being. She was granted a semblance of a normal life, unlike the captive existence endured by the other cursed ones.
