CHAPTER 3

2240 Words
Brooke felt her heart raced at the sight of him. The man that still had her heart, even though she hates to admit it. Why can’t he get a clue and just get lost? She never responded to any of his calls or texts, she even changed her phone number just so that he couldn’t contact her again. How did he even find her here? This can’t be a mere coincidence. As Brooke saw him strode towards her, she took a step back. It took every ounce of her to not go after him and kissed him again. She just realized that she missed him a lot. Her emotions were literally at the top, waiting to erupt.  She grabbed the door handle to the kitchen, but Elliot hugged her tightly from behind. This is not fair. He knows that she will submit to him if he keeps doing this. “Brooke…” He whispered on her neck. “Please…we need to talk. Don’t run away from me.” He said with a deep voice. He then turned her back, facing him. Her eyes were already flooded with tears as she looked back into his deep blue eyes. His eyes held a thousand emotions inside, which can’t express towards her. “Don’t do this to me, Elliot.” She said, trying to wriggle free from his tight grip on her waist. He refused to let her go. “Give me a chance to talk, Brooke!? After this, you can go if you want…I promised I won’t bother you again,” he pleaded. He looked serious, and it scares her a little. He never raised his voice at her before. Even at the court, when they decided to divorce, Elliot chose to stay silent and not show any emotion.        Brooke reluctantly submits to his request and lets him pulled her out from the café. He held open his car door as he motioned her to get in. Brooke paused for a while as she studied him. “Get in, Brooke.” He said with a stern voice. She then breathed out and hop into his car. After he closed the door for her, Brooke saw him went over to the other side and sat in the driver seat. Brooke put on her seatbelt, and she was shocked to see his face only an inch away from hers. His hot breath fanned her face, and it makes her numb on the inside. This might not be a good idea to talk to him. Brooke can’t trust herself to behave properly around him, and she can’t deny that she still had feelings for him. “Ready to go?” Elliot asked with a thin smile playing on his lips. He wasn’t supposed to smile like that at her. How dare he! Brooke instantly looked away and hid her red face. Not wanting to show him her flushed face. “Cute…” She heard him chuckled lowly before he straightened up on his seat and revved up the engine. The ride was quite awkward, and Elliot seemed to feel that too. It was weird. They both were best friend before this. They used to talk about anything from A to Z, and always understand each other. Brooke never felt uncomfortable around him, and vice versa. But now, they seemed somehow distant.   Elliot cleared his throat. “Ummm…How are you, Brooke?” He said as he steals a glance at her. Brooke throws a disapproving glare at him. Is he kidding right now? Did he think it was fun to live alone after the painful divorce? Come on, Brooke! He just wants to mock you for your stupidity. You trusted him too much before. You’re too blind to see that he was a wolf in sheep clothing. Brooke lifted up her chin. She can’t appear as a weak woman in front of him. “I’m doing fine…as you can see.” She replied proudly. Elliot nods briefly at her, “I see you started another business…As expected, you always impressed me, Brook.” He admitted. Brooke laughs mockingly at his words inside. You also impressed me with your acting skill. You could easily win an Oscar for sure if you were an actor, Elliot. She thinks to herself.  “Stop beating around the bush, Elliot! What do you want to talk about? I have a business to run, and I had no intention of wasting my precious time with you.” She said coldly. Elliot suddenly stopped his car and pulled over in the middle of nowhere. As soon as the car stopped, he unclasped his seatbelt and grabbed her both hands. “I am a mess, Brooke… Ever since our divorce….” He confessed. Now that he mentioned it, he looked a little bit thin and pale than usual. His blue eyes were not as lively as they used to be when they were together. Brooke pulled back her hands harshly from him. “Do I look like I care, Elliot? That’s your problem.” She said, looking away outside the window. Elliot let out a deep sigh. “Brooke, I was wrong… What I did to you is unacceptable.” He said. Hah!? The asshole finally came back to his senses. Brook looks down at her feet. “It was all too late now, Elliot. We’re divorced...” She reminded him the bitter fact. Did he have any idea how much he had damaged her? “I still love you, Brooke…Damn! I missed you and your voice…” he said, raking his hair in frustration. “You should think about that first before you cheated on me!” Brooke replied indifferently at him.  He refused to give up as he cupped her face gently. “No, You can’t hate me forever, Brooke! I never intended to cheat on you with Trisha.” He told her. Oh, wow! So now the b***h has a name. “We just happened to meet at the bar one night. She was a struggling actress that just got raped by her own manager.” Elliot goes on. Brooke cuts him. “So you expect me to forgive you because of that dumb reason? Damn it, Elliot!? How long have you been seeing each other? Did you often think of her when you f****d me?!” She erupted like a volcano. He grabbed her shoulders. “A little over five months before you find out…Calm down, Brooke! I swear there’s nothing between us.” Elliot admitted. FIVE MONTHS?! They had been seeing each other that long? Brooke felt her head throbbing in pain. “Yea…Isn’t that what all cheated man say? I’m not buying it.” She replied disdainfully at him. She can’t take this bullshit anymore. The more she talked to Elliot, the more and deeper she got hurt. Brooke was about to get off from his car, but he locked the door from his side. Preventing her from running away. “Open the door, Elliot!” Brooke snarled at him. He shook his head vigorously. “I’m not letting you go before you listen to me, Brooke.” He insisted. “This is kidnapping!? You know I can report you to the police.” Brooke bites back. Elliot fished out his phone and showed her a text message. “You see this? I already ended things with Trisha before we talked to Mr.Darcy that day.” He insisted Brook on reading their text messages. “I ended things with Trisha after I found out that she wanted more than just s*x with me…After I texted her, she disappeared into thin air.” He then said. Brooke can’t believe how shameless he was. He admitted proudly that they were casually having s*x behind her back. “Brooke, please…You have to understand…I was devastated about our business.” He pleaded again. Stubborn tears fell from her eyes, and he wiped them oh so slowly from her face. “I tried, Elliot…You know I tried so damn hard…” Brooke said, breaking into tears. Elliot rested his forehead on hers as they both closed their eyes, sinking deep into their moment. “I know, Brooke…I was such a fool.” He spoke softly. “Do you have any idea how much you had hurt me?” Brooke said, looking back at him. “Ssshhh…Tell me what I can do to make it up to you. I was wrong to sign that divorce contract. I should never let you go in the first place, Brooke.” He said before he pressed his lips against hers. His kisses contain a lot of yearning for her. To be honest, it was also hard for him. He missed her a lot as much. He felt so empty and have no direction without Brooke. Brooke resisted to respond as he predicted, but after a while, he felt her kissed him back. “Come back to me, Brooke…” he said breathlessly. His hands went to cup her breast as he kissed her neck, and she took a sharp breath.  “I am scared…Elliot,” Brooke replied. “Tell me, baby…What are you afraid of?” He said with a lust-filled voice. “I’m scared of my own feelings for you…” She said, tears slipping out from the corner of her eyes. “You still love me….” Elliot replied with a hoarse voice. The reality hits her like thunder. Brooke never gave him the answer, but he didn’t need one since he already knew. The way her body responds to him perfectly. He can’t be wrong. They were both still in love with each other. They both needed each other. ************** Elliot locked the door behind them as their tongue were battling for dominance against each other. He pushed her back to the wall, claiming her lips like it was his favorite food. “Elliot, we should probably stop,” Brooke said as Elliot removed her dress. “Give me one good reason to do that…” He murmured on her ears. Oh, that sexy voice! Brooke can’t think of anything right now as her lust took over her whole system. “Because I’m not some cheap actress name Trisha….” That word suddenly slipped out from her mouth, making Elliot stopped on what he’s doing. Brooke thought that she was succeeded in stopping him, but he then only let out a chuckle. “You look cute when you’re jealous…But I don’t want her…I only want you, Brooke.” He said with a deep voice. After saying that, he hoisted her feet up around his waist and carried her to their bedroom. The same bed they used to make love to every night since their wedding day. Brooke helped him to remove his shirt and jeans. They were both needing each other. Her body was already aching for him. “For the record…I used to scream your name when I had s*x with Trisha, not the other way around.” He said with a smirk. “Oh, just shut up and f**k me, Elliot!” Brooke said as she pulled him again into her. She almost forgot how good he could make her feel. They lose count on how many times they come to their peak of ecstasy together that night. For a moment, they both forgot that they were not a couple anymore. ********* Elliot spooned her from behind after long hours of s*x. Her soft, warm body is what he missed the most. He just knew it by now. He put her hair to the side, leaving her neck bare. He kissed them softly, and Brooke let out a deep sigh. She still can’t believe that she would end up in his arms again…in his bed. At this moment, nothing else matters to her, not even that cheap-looking actress. Elliot then kissed her shoulder softly, “Brooke, what do you think about us having a baby?” He suddenly said. Brooke turned her body around, facing him. “Baby? But you always told me that you weren’t ready to be a father?” Brooke asked with a furrowed brows. Elliot smiled at her. “I think I have changed my mind now…” He said, then positioned himself on top of her. “You still get your IUD shot?” Elliot asked. “No, after we got divorced…I never had s*x with anyone else.” She admitted shyly. Brooke could see his eyes twinkling, even in the dark. She wanted to swallow him whole. “Good then…Let’s make some baby.” He said with a grin before he kissed her again. Good Lord, this man is insatiable!
