Yes, Ebony had taken part in the bullying, but now she wondered if it was instigated by the two older adults. Abuse victims acted out in various ways as a result of the trauma they endured. The amount of pain, and resulting rage, would definitely manifest itself in behavior such as lashing out. And unfortunately, that lashing out would be directed at someone weaker, someone unable to defend themselves. A cycle of abuse, that unless stopped, could carry on for generations.
