What Happened

My night wasn’t perfect, I really couldn’t sleep and that was mainly due to the monster panda I now had to take care of. Fira on the other hand didn’t have that problem as she slept like a log, but given that she wasn’t making any sounds while she slept, not even her breathing was heard, it made me wonder if she was even sleeping at all. But I wouldn’t dwell on it, the intricacies behind the existence of someone as strong as she was wasn’t something I wanted to dwell on.

The panda cried a lot, and it ate a lot, I’ve been up all night feeding and taking care of it based on what I’ve learnt from the books within the storage room. Also a slot in my taming Ability was already missing, which meant the panda was invariably bonded to me now. I could feel his thoughts in my head, it’s a little jumbled and uncertain, but that’s probably because he was still quite young and just a baby. And not being sure of what time of the day it really was totally sucked, so after 7 hours of waiting on it’s every needs, it finally fell asleep.

“My how perceptive you are.” I raised an eyebrow, the sarcasm in her voice was undisguised, but honestly I don’t think there was much I could do about it. I moved aside and went to the corner of the storage room where ingredients were gathered. I had a head full of recipes from all that I’ve read, but beyond that I still had knowledge of food from earth, at the very least the same ones I grew up eating in Nigeria. A simple breakfast would be the way to go, and I could recognize some ingredients even if they had different looks and different names.

“Can you tell me what happened to the Celestial Beast Sect and how long ago was that?” I asked her as she looked back at me with a raised eyebrow, probably my questions were something that should be common knowledge and yet I still didn’t have an answer, it was more reason for her to be suspicious of my origins, maybe I could tell her I had lost my memories, but then again I’ve proven to be knowledgeable about some things so the memory gig might not work.

“You don’t know what happened? Well the Celestial Beast Sect declared war against the Immortals, Huxia and the High Heavens. They wanted to be the supreme power in the universe……so we killed them!
