Chapter One: The Dreams
"Good, Gabbi. Move your hips - good girl," The whispered words sent socks of pleasure through me, my body responding to however his hands moved me across the battle mat.
I shifted my hips, involuntarily but not unwillingly, grinding against the hard length pinning me.
Hot air blew across my ear as he growled with pleasure, the weight of another almost suffocating but oh-so-right between my legs.
"Gods, you smell good." His hand moved from my pinned shoulder to my throat suddenly, my body freezing as he turned my head and his mouth bared down on my neck, his other hand gliding its way down my body like water over glass, pausing to press between us.
"f**k, you feel good too." He said in a voice of gravel and lust, his hand curled, cupping the aching apex.
"Uh...Dom..."
"Morning, kitten." The clarity and tone of the voice snapped me awake.
As I opened my eyes, I was met with the sight of Dominique, the very man I was dreaming of, standing in my doorway, his tall, lean frame filling the space.
His short chopped black hair was messy, as if he'd just rolled out of bed, and his bright blue eyes sparkled with amusement. His chiseled features were relaxed, his dimpled smile hinting at a secret joke.
At 24, Dom had rugged good looks, his years of training and dedication to the Pack evident in the lean muscles that rippled beneath his tanned skin.
His broad shoulders stretched the fabric of his worn grey t-shirt, and his faded jeans clung to his powerful thighs.
But it was his eyes that always caught my attention - piercing, intelligent, and full of warmth. They crinkled at the corners as he smiled, and I felt my heart skip a beat.
For a moment, we just stared at each other, the tension between us palpable. Then, Dom's smile grew wider, and he said, "Ready for our run?"
I nodded, still trying to process the flutter in my chest.
How did he manage to look so effortlessly handsome? And why did my body respond to him like this?
Oh gods...I was dreaming about him - I pushed aside the thoughts, trying to settle my breathing.
As I threw off the covers and got out of bed, I didn't realize my mistake until it was too late. The movement sent a wave of my aroused scent wafting through the air, straight towards Dom.
His eyes locked onto mine, and a slow, teasing smile spread across his face. "Well, well, well. Who's been having sweet dreams, Gabbi?" he asked, his voice low and husky.
I felt my face heat up with embarrassment and I suddenly felt incredibly exposed. I was standing there in nothing but a small nightgown, my hair disheveled, and my scent betraying me.
Dom took a step closer, his eyes never leaving mine. "You smell amazing, Gabbi. Like honey and sunshine. Who's the lucky guy?"
I tried to play it cool, but my voice came out shaky. "N-no one, Dom. Just my incense, okay?" I tried to slip around him, only for him to grab my arm and pull me back easily. Dom chuckled, his dimples deepening. "Save it, Gabbi. I know that scent. And I'm curious. Who's been starring in your fantasies?" He leaned in close, his mint and chocolate breath warming my face and I clenched every muscle I had, praying one of them behaved.
I felt my face burning, my heart racing. I tried to take a step back, but my legs felt like jelly. Dom's teasing...his scent, was unbearable, and I couldn't think straight.
"Dom, stop it," I grumbled, trying to sound stern but failing miserably.
He just kept coming, his eyes sparkling with amusement as he backed me against the corner of my window.
"Oh, Gabbi. You're so adorable when you're flustered." His eyes dropped to my lips for a second, my breath catching as he leaned in again, his nose grazing mine. "Tell me, who got you all worked up, kitten?"
My entire body set itself on fire.
Ugh! Why did he have to call me that? It did things to me.
My Wolf, Calypso, rose, finally awake enough to realise what was going on and coming out of her own lustful dreams of the same man - well...his Wolf, but still.
Give him a taste. Tell the truth. She urged with a grin. I had to suppress an eye roll.
You're such a horn dog. I retorted, my voice teasing.
She huffed a chuckle. I'm not the one who's scent is darkening our Beta's eyes right now.
My breath caught, my eyes snapping to see she was right.
Dom inhaled, tensing and his eyes went from their crystal blue to almost pitch black.
I found myself smiling, flirtious and sly, reaching up to brush a lock of his hair off his tanned forehead, a shudder of enjoyment going through me at the feel of his skin.
His eyes fluttered at my touch, giving me the opportunity to lean in, brushing my nose against his and looked at him through my lashes.
I dropped my voice low and seductive. "What if it was you, Niq?" I purred, using my equivalent of kitten on him, seeing his eyes widen slightly, a hunger buried deep that surprised me and made me think I'd crossed a line.
He suddenly smiled, leaning away from me and laughed. "Nice try," he tapped my nose, making my scrunch my face up and shove into his chest. He easily locked my wrists in one hand, spinning me and pulled my back against his chest, chuckling. All of it happened in a swift dance-like move and I felt dizzy, relaxing into his warmth as my heart beat was erratic, realising his hand wrapped around both my wrists was placed between my nearly exposed breasts.
My chest and face heated when he leaned down, his teasing voice in my ear. "Though, maybe you should think about me..." He mused in a purr. "Maybe...on the battle mat."
I froze in embarassment and a heavy scent of my arousal filling the air. Oh gods! Did he-
"Oh my god! Get off her you heathen!" Alyssa's voice pierced through the thought - and entire Packhouse - Dom turning with me like a human meat-shield against the tiny raven haired woman who glared at him. She was taller than me, beautiful and the strongest female in our entire Pack. She was also my best friend and Dom's little sister.
My eyes flared and I pitched my voice to false childish panic. "Lissy! Help! He's got Moon madness!"
Ally's eyes flared and she pressed her ruby red lips together in determination, reaching down and pulled off a stiletto heel and lobbed it.
It missed completely, making Dom burst out laughing - only to ricochet off the wall and hit him in the back of the head.
I used his stunned moment and slipped his grip, ducking and spinning myself to arms length before I stepped forward and shoved him, his hold on me dropping as Alyssa tackled him, belly-flopping on-top of him into my bed.
Dom gave a loud coughed grunt, bowing dramatically at Alyssa as she sat up, elbowing him in the gut and smiled at me. "Run, little wolf! I'll protect you!" She remarked, slapping my leg as I giggled and grabbed my clothes for the day, noticing Dom's eyes were following me as I left.
He went to follow, almost shoving Alyssa off him, but Calypso rose and flicked the back of my nightgown, giving him a teasing glimpse of my ass.
His eyes darkened and he froze, Alyssa managing to get him in a headlock.
"See you at training Dom!" I called over my shoulder, running through the third floor of the Packhouse to the shared showers and locked myself into a cubicle, still giggling.
Dom's aura pushed against my mind. That was a cheap shot, kitten. He growled at me.
I ignored the tremor of pleasure that went through me and sent him an image of me sticking my tongue at him. You were the one looking.
He sent me one back of him flicking my forehead, chuckling. It is a nice view.
I doused myself in cold water, slamming the mind-link closed before Calypso could make me send something I'd regret.
No, you wouldn't. She scolded me, chuckling.
She's not wrong, but that, in itself, was wrong.
He was my Beta. My best friends brother.
And I was...
"Omega! Alpha is up and wants breakfast! You got ten minutes." Stephanie, the caretaker Omega, called from the bathroom door.
I turned off the shower. "Coming!" I called back, then sighed.
I was a maid.
