My eyelids flutter open, the scent of butterscotch faintly trailing into my nostrils. My eyes travel to the floor to ceiling window, watching as the sun slowly rises from behind the tall trees of the forest. It’s morning and time to begin my daily duties, although I’m still unsure of what they are.
