WEST
Aerith drives through the busy street, we were already out of Luminous Eternity Care now heading to Night Club -19. Faxon has a lot of explanation to make and I don't care how long it will take him to do that.
There's no valid reasons for those members to miss the meeting that never occurs everyday. It still pissed me off, but I had to pardon Zyra because she's a lady but Faxon? I'm going to show him my vixen side
Suddenly amidst my thought, I heard the engine of our car sputtered and stopped. I gaped in confusion as my eyes darted to the equally confused looking Aerith.
"Aerith what's wrong? Why did the car stop?" I asked
"Miss West I have no idea, I'll go take a look at it" she says and gets down from the car. Few seconds later she plopped her head down through the car's window.
"Miss West I don't know what happened to it. I will have to call the mechanical engineer" she suggested and I frowned.
"Aerith this is preposterous and you know that, didn't you get the car checked before riding it out?" my voice drops in annoyance.
"But Miss West it's your car" she stated the obvious and I rolled my eyes. It then averted to the coffee shop that was opposite our faulty car, so I got down feeling the scorching sun pierce into my bare skin. Argh!
"Please be fast, I'll just wait right in the coffee shop" I said and wore my sunglasses, she gave me a nod and began making calls. I strode right into the coffee shop with a scowl on my face due to the hot sun.
RAVEN
For the first time in six months I finally got a job, not a good paying one but it can eliminate the idea of being broke all the damn time. The coffee shop employed me as a waiter here and I just have one itty-bitty problem at hand, Aria.
She was already trampling towards me with an absurd scowl on her face. She handed the tray of two cups of coffee to me.
"Table 8, go and serve them" her voice drops with disdain. I'm guessing this is just her way of getting back at me, by ordering me around but it's fine, I'm not gonna let any daughter of Eve make me lose my job.
I made my way to table 8 without giving Aria a reply and I served them with my usual robotic smile. As I was about heading back to the counter, my heart skipped at the sight I beheld.
"Speaking of the daughter of Eve" I gaped at the exquisite lady that elegantly walked into the coffee shop. She removed her sunglasses as she stared around the shop.
Her eyes are almond-shaped and very dark brown. Her hair was gold as the roof of the New York Life and fell past her waist. A red shirt hugged a very curvy figure and her face a heart shaped face. Back to her fathomless dark brown eyes were what made it impossible for me to look away. Her red lace track suit screamed luxury and elegance.
She typically doesn't look like someone you could mess with due to her mystique glare towards me. Wait!.....towards ME?!
She signalled me to come forward as she found a seat for herself, I'm certain she caught me staring, and that's awkward. I swallowed hard as a wince starts creeping on my face, I perched towards her with my head hang low.
"What is the best coffee for a hot day?" she asks, her voice is so tempting but unpleasant as well. I floundered, unable to know exactly what to say to her, she had this strange aura of a bloody player. I don't know what it means but that's exactly how it seems.
"Ahem....well Miss" my voice trailed off and my gaze accidentally were casted on her. Her eyes had a hint of displeasure before she rolls them.
"Just get me any coffee you think is suitable for the weather" she snaps, I nodded and immediately scuttled away from her presence, I found Aria staring at me ridiculously.
I ignored her as I made my way into the kitchen to make the suitable coffee for her.....I mean for the weather.
After few minutes I came out with the cup of coffee only to sight an empty chair. I eye-searched around the coffee shop but there was no semblance of the beauty I saw few minutes ago.
Suddenly Aria's voice chimes into my perturbed thought, "She left. Besides why were you staring at her like that?" her eyebrows were furrowed as she asked. I ignored her, taking in a heave of breath I spun around heading back into the kitchen.
"I get it! The silent treatment" I heard her snap in annoyance. She's such a psycho. I feel really bad, she didn't even say a goodbye before leaving. "Raven snap out!" I cursed inwardly
WEST
I sat down comfortably inside the coffee shop after ordering the guy to get me a cup of coffee. He's quite weird, getting lost while gazing at me. I hate to admit it but he is quite cute when he's lost and that amused me.
He was, well, different from all others. He was handsome, not perhaps in the conventional sense, but he had that appearance which could make him stand out in the crowd. He is fair, almost pale white. His unfathomable, golden brown eyes contrasted exceptionally with his light toned face.
His smile, which reached up to his eyes and wrinkles them, flaunted his modesty and humility. I mean the smile he had while serving table 8 before he saw me.
Suddenly I heard a familiar voice from behind me, that drew me back to the present as I spun around.
"Miss West, the car has been fixed. Aerith is waiting outside and I have some bad news for you" Rosa says and slightly lowers her gaze causing me to frown. That's how I left the coffee shop without saying goodbye and without having the coffee.
There was a soft silence between the three of us as Aerith drove off, it was neither awkward nor right.
"Rosa are you going to give me the bad news that you have or should I bloody remind you like I'm doing now?" I rasped and she quivers. She and Aerith were at the front and I was at the back.
"Ahem.....Miss West the investigation about our switched imported goods was a dead end" Rosa says above a whisper.
"What do you mean dead end?" I arched my eyebrows at her.
"It was blank, I have no idea who it is. But Miss West in my opinion, I think it's not an individual who's involved in that act, they're likely to be a group or another Mafia Clan" she ponders
I began to cogitate as it dawned to me, "The highest Mafia Clan in the whole of Indonesia and South east Asia is the Ocean Howls but they can't be the ones doing it. Their Mafia Lord' standards are above that. Unless there is another Mafia Clan apart from ours"
"And also that Mafia Clan or group has the government by their side" Aerith added and my anger intensified. The government?!
"Miss West you need to see this!" Rosa seemed to have shouted as she handed her phone over to me.
"Senator Jerrick Romeril has been reported missing on the news" I seethed while trying to calm myself down. The car squealed to a halt and Aerith turns to face me in shock.
"This is bad Miss West" Aerith shivers alongside Rosa.
"I expected it. He's a Senator after all and he has connections. Aerith turn the car, we're heading back to the Mafia building" I ordered and she did exactly as I said.
