He expected her to shrink in on herself, down into the burning elements she actually was. Her immortality suggested she would but her ruined being remained trapped under the surface.
“What’s going on here?” Morgan called out.
“Oh, great… he doesn’t even know,” Albion snapped, clearly exhausted from the battle he’d been healing.
Morgan couldn’t help the way his eyes narrowed at Albion then either. His possessed spirits had since been relieved from him but still, it was hard to deal with such a welcome.
“She’s stubborn as hell,” Grant hissed.
He raced in from Morgan’s left and charged into Ria’s side.
Liia cringed and held her own in response. Another blow from Bryson only solidified his concern.
