" I don't know what is happening to my baby girl. I'm afraid it's all related to her past and her 18th birthday. What should we do now? I don't want anyone to hurt Lucy. I don't want to hide it anymore, she is going to find out sooner or later." I said before I sensed someone's presence.

"Hey everyone," Gini nervously said, glancing at us.

She made her way upstairs, before sparing us a last glance. I know she must have sensed something.

" Nothing will happen to Lucy's mom, I won't let that happen," Thomas said. I was sobbing slightly at the thought of that night.

" I need to check on the girls. '' I excused myself and cut some fruit to check on my baby.

" Hey mom, come in! " Lucy greeted me cheerfully and that made my heart melt. I relaxed a bit at the thought of my baby not being suffering anymore, and she is OK now.

" Now excuse me, girls, enjoy your fruit ". I excused myself from them. Now I don't need to worry about Lucy being upset or insecure.

Lucy

I know my family very well. She wanted to check on us, because Gini noticed their strange behaviour.

I don't know what they are hiding from me. But whatever it is, it's something big.

" What plan are you talking about? " I asked her. " Well, do you know anything about our pack inheritance?" she said and I nodded.

I know she is talking about the book we have in the pack house. It's a book where everything is recorded about a single one of us.

"The Book of the Moon," I said worriedly, and she nodded. I gasped at her reaction.

Now I know very well what she is planning to do, and I also know how dangerous it is.

" You must have lost your mind, " I said with a shocked expression. She didn't say anything.

" I know it's a bit risky, but hey, do you want to know what is happening to you? Why are your family behaving strangely?" I nodded at her." But it's way too risky, I can't involve any of you guys. She stared at me. Her eyes started to get watery. I hugged her. I know she loves me very much and I love her too, but because of my problem, I can't risk anyone's life.

" Listen, no one will get hurt, as long as we include Ben in our plan, because he is an elite warrior of our pack, and he knows where that book is," Gini said while holding both of my hands.

Hearing Ben's name, my breath hitched. I know he is a good guy and he cares for me as much as I do for him.

" Are you sure? " I asked. She placed her hand on my shoulder and nodded.

" It will be adventurous, " she said, wiggling her brows. I laughed at her remark.

She is calling Ben to meet him, while I'm thinking about what that book holds for me. What if something I can't handle?

" He is coming at 9 pm, " she said, bringing me back to reality.
