I got to the lake where I was meant to meet lucy. My wolf Liam stopped talking to me since I decided to reject Lucy in person as I rejected her at the very moment when I got to know she was my mate. There were attacks at the border, and we still don't know who they are or if it was done by a single person. The attacks became frequent, and we still didn't get any clue. I have to reject Lucy today or it will be a mess if anyone knows about us.
I was in my thoughts when Liam screamed in my head " mate", "mate."
A familiar scent hit my nostrils and I knew who it belonged to.
I immediately looked up as she was coming towards me. My breath hitched she is d**n beautiful and sexy, it was hard for me to resist the urge to make her mine and take her there.
As I was looking at her. I noticed she is scared and hesitant. Is she scared of me? But why? I am her mate? Wait what am I thinking she is not my mate, and I am going to reject her.
' Huh, looks like someone needs a smack,' Liam said mockingly.
' Shut up,' I shouted at him.
' gladly,' he said in a mocked tone.
" Hey," she said in a small voice.
" hi, '' I replied.
" Am I late?" she asked nervously.
" no. I have arrived early," I said.
she was not looking here and there but at me. Why isn't she looking at me? Why am I so affected by her? I shook my head at my thoughts.
" so, why do you want to meet me?" finally she asked.
I looked at her and swallowed a lump forming in my throat. " Well, I need to talk to you about something very important," I told her.
" Okay," she said, nodding her head.
" Just don't freak out," I tried to calm her a bit before I confessed everything. she nodded her head.
' Looks like you are calming yourself,' Liam mocked me.
' Shut up,' I said frustrated.
" Okay, you remember my 18th birthday right?" I asked and she nodded immediately.
" I recognised you as my mate on my birthday. but I was too overwhelmed to process everything as I don't want a mate who is human and weak. so I was waiting for your birthday to reject you properly. I decided to make Sara my Luna and my mate as she is strong and beautiful and her status is also higher than yours...." I paused momentarily.
" and I don't want a mate who's..." I trailed off as I don't want to reveal anything.
she was looking at me with those striking blue eyes and tears were coming down her cheeks.
I was lost for words as my heart was aching badly. And I knew this was the mate bond, nothing else. I don't have feelings for her. I love Sara and she is going to be my luna.

" Just don't freak out," he said.
" Okay," I said. I was ready for whatever it was.
my heart was racing at his words almost painfully. I know it's something bad. I can't stop the feeling I am getting.
Before he said anything he was in a daze like he was talking to someone through a mina d link or something.
" Okay. you remember my 18th birthday right?" he asked and I nodded.

what.... he is my mate and he didn't confess anything? He was waiting for my birthday to reject me?
As I was thinking, unknowingly tears started to roll down my cheeks.
I finally found my mate and he was waiting for my birthday to reject me. Is that a birthday gift?
I no longer hear his voice. my head was spinning.
" Michelle Westwood, future alpha of the blue night pack, rejects Lucy st. Martin as my mate and future luna."
As he said those words my heart was hurting so badly that it felt like someone was ripping my heart out.
he was waiting for me to accept as beads of sweat started to form on his head he was feeling the same pain as I was feeling, " I lucy st. Martin accepts your rejection."
I am not a coward. My mom didn't raise me as a weak human being that anyone can break easily. I wiped my tears away and started to walk away. But a strong hand gripped my wrist and stopped me from moving.
I looked at him confused. before I could say anything his lips crashed on mine. I was too shocked to react immediately, as soon as I recovered, I started to push him away but he held my both hands tightly. He was kissing me hungrily.
A wave of anger crushed me as I bit his lips so hard that blood started to spill from his lips. He pulled away immediately and I slapped him with all my strength.
" How dare you touch me?" I yelled at him.
" I'm your Alpha, remember?" he said with a smirk.
what? Did he think just because he is my alpha that means he can do whatever he wants?
" You are my alpha. and I am not some kind of toy that you can play with whenever you want. and if you are going to be our alpha I am worried about the future of blue night packs." I spat on his face. Who did he think he was messing with? I am not that simple innocent girl that I was.
He just killed that girl and now. If he thinks he can play with me, I am more than ready to kick his balls.
With that, I was heading towards the location where Gini and Ben would meet me.
I was walking thinking about the rejection I just faced. Why didn't it hurt me that much? It was supposed to hurt like b***h but it didn't. I was walking with all my thoughts when I heard a snap of a twig.
I looked back and saw nothing. But my heart was racing. What if some rogue attacks me?
no no no I shook my head and started to walk fast. a shiver ran down my spine, I felt like someone was watching me. and then I remembered those red eyes from my dream.
I heard footsteps behind me I tried to see from the corner of my eyes before I ran breathlessly.
