Chapter 1
*10 YEARS AGO* The whole realm was at church, giving their last respect to the crown princess, princess Soleria Akeldama. All the creatures that presence cried when they watched the peaceful looking princess in her white dress, with her eyes close in the casket.  Suddenly the door groaned and they all knew her family just arrived.  The Akeldama royal family walked in with their black cloaks on and walked towards the casket. The Morag's followed seconds later and they all gathered around Soleria's casket with tears in their eyes.  Cara was the last person to walked in, carrying a bouquet of red roses, Soleria's favourite.  The Akeldama's gave their last respect followed by the Morag's. Cara waited as everyone looked at her mate for the last time. Cara walked up to Soleria's casket and smiled forcefully.  “I've brought your favourite." She places the bouquet on her chest.  “I've got your killer. He will be punished." Cara whispered. Suddenly the whole church turned silent when they heard the princess wailed.  Thana and Essence went to their daughter side and hugs her. Cara dropped to the floor, in tears. The whole creatures in tears as they witnessed the princess in such a vulnerable state.  The vampire elder walked up to them and nods. Thana and Essence dragged Cara away.  “We gather here today to grief for our departed princess.” Elder McCoy looked at Soleria.  “The departing of such kind and passionate princess this realm had ever seen. A person who... Willing to sacrifice herself for her subjects." Kora stands and presents the Akeldama spear of light.  “This princess shall be granted the burial in the glasshouse of Akeldama Royal burial ground." Elder McCoy nodded and the guards closed the casket. They nailed it shut.  Cara watched as Soleria's casket lowered down into the grave. Thana patted her back as they all turned and went back to the palace. Cara turned back once more and let her tears fall for one last time. "You'll always in my heart..."  *** *PRESENT DAY* Cara jolted up from her slumber and sigh when she’s having the same dream again. For 10 solid years, she had been dreaming about Soleria’s funeral.  There was a moment where she avoided the need to sleep and continued to train with her cousin and best friend, Raelia because the dream was ruining her mental state.  Cara got up and went to the bathroom for her morning routine. After putting her clothes on, she walked out of her room and let the maids deal with the mess.  She went inside the dining hall, where her parents, grandparents and aunts waiting for her.  "Morning.." Thana smiled at her daughter.  Cara nods and sat at her usual seat, next to Essence. The maids begin to pour a glass of fresh blood except for Moana's.  “So.. Everyone ready for our trip to Amador?" Cara sighs. Kora looked at her granddaughter.  "You do not sigh on this table. Just say what you want to say." Cara shakes her head.  “I'll go. I don't want to witness... That again." Kharis smiles at Cara.  “Good choice dear." Kharis change the pupil of her eyes to gold.  “Kharis dear... Good job." Kora leaned in.  “I know."  Thana shakes her head and smiles at her wife. Cara finishes her breakfast and excuse herself because she had promised Raelia the day before.  “Here." Raelia threw a sword at her as soo as her foot steps into the training facility. She manage to catches it but barely. "Let's try to kill each other. Agreed?" Raelia smirks. “Agreed." They jumped towards each other and their sword greeted each other. The guards watched their fight and take some pointers.  "Soon, they both will hurt each other in the process." One of the guards says.  “They already did." The other says when they noticed Cara's bleeding shoulder.  Cara didn't care of her bleeding shoulder, all she cares about was beating Raelia. Raelia sees this as an opportunity to showed her the power she inherited from Satan himself.  Suddenly the sword Raelia held engulfed in fire. The bystander gasped but Cara didn't budge. She kept a firm hold of her own sword and get herself ready for any kind of attack.  "HAHHHHHH!" Raelia screamed as she ran towards Cara with her inhuman speed. Cara manages to deflect her attack and pushed her away.  Raelia again tries to attack the princess and again, Cara managed to avoid her deathly swing and kneed her gut. Cara used the handle of her sword and hit the back of her head to make her fall.  "I win," Cara said and smiled at a very angry Raelia.  “Control your anger Raelia." Cara joked and helps her cousin up.  “Let's get ready for the trip to Amador." Raelia nods. *** "That was fun." A man said as he zip his pants again. A woman turned to face him.  “Just because my parents doesn’t let us marry each other, doesn't mean you can ignore our daughter." The man smiles and caresses the bleach blonde beauty in front of him.  “I know Voltaria... I've never seen such a beautiful vampire in my whole undead life. Except for you." Voltaria smiles.  "Oh, Radomir... you and your sweet mouth..." Voltaria smiles as she kissed Radomir’s soft lips.  "What if your parents know about this little meeting?" Voltaria sighs. She cups the blonde hair man face and smiles.  “I'll end their life." Radomir chuckles.  “You really want to live on a farm with me, princess?" Voltaria nods.  “I don't mind living in this farmhouse." Radomir laughed.  “I will be decapitated if that happens." Radomir went to his daughter and kissed her cheek.  “Hi, little Violeta... Daddy will be going now. Be a nice little girl to your mother." Radomir looks up and smiles at Voltaria.  “You should get going as well. Nezera is waiting outside." Voltaria sighs and put on her clothes back on.  "Will you be at the festival?" Radomir smiles.  “I will try." Radomir went to gave Voltaria one more kiss on the lips and pulled away. She was waiting for him to say that he loves her but it never came.  “Goodbye Voltaria." Voltaria sighs and waves. Radomir went out, leaving Voltaria and Violeta alone.  "That went well." Nezera walks in.  “What do you see in him? I mean he's... Dirty."  "He's the father of Violeta, Nez." Nezera rolled her eyes and went to Violeta.  “How can she sleep while you two have s*x?" Nezera lifted sleeping Violeta up and rock her to sleep while Voltaria went to grab her things.  "We put her in the other room... I think I have everything..." Voltaria follows Nezera out from the farmhouse where she always meets Radomir for their secret meeting.  “We should go before the Akeldama's arrives," Nezera said when she entered the car with Voltaria.  “Why did they invited them? They never invited the Akeldama's." Nezera shrugs.  “Maybe our parents want to take their wealth." Nezera chuckles. Voltaria knows how their parents are. It's not a laughing matter at all.  “You do know our parents the worst king and queen of Amador, right? They don't even want me to marry the father of their own granddaughter. Hell! They don't even recognised her as their granddaughter, the princess." Voltaria sighs.  "Just calm down V. Someday, they will. I mean.. Just look at her. If they say she's not your kid, the hair proofs it." Voltaria smacks Nezera's shoulder and laughed along with her.  The car stops when they arrived at the Amador palace. The maids open the door for the princess and her sister.  “How's the trip princess?" One of the maids asked. Voltaria looks at Nezera.  “It went great... Please prepare princess Violeta's crib for me." The maid nods before excusing herself.  Nezera then handed sleeping Violeta to the maid after Voltaria kisses her daughter’s forehead.  "Princesses... The King and queen wanted to meet both of you." Voltaria sighs and followed the guards towards the throne room.  The guards pushes the heavy door for the princess and let her enter.  “Oh my oh my... You two haven't tidy up yourself?! The Akeldama's is coming and we need to make a good impression!" The King thundered.  "My King... We just arrived." Voltaria tried as hard as she could not be angry.  “Kneel." The king simply said and Voltaria and Nezera did as told.  "How's the meeting?" The King asked. "Went well, my King," Nezera answered. "So they agree to send us more manpower to build the greatest monument the realm has ever seen?" Voltaria nodded. The King smiled.  Voltaria knows this matter will make her father really happy. King Andrei and Queen Bernia Amador were known as the ruthless ruler of all. They never care about others. They only care about themselves. As long as they live in a prosperous kingdom, that's all that matter. Their daughters, princess Voltaria and Nezera was the one who makes sure everything is in order.  After they received a word from Kora, they both really excited to arranged their eldest daughter, Voltaria to Cara. All they care was that Voltaria will be the next ruler of the whole realm so that they receive more wealth in advance.  They never care or asked about Voltaria's opinion. They never even told her about this. King Andrei smiled.  “Dear Voltaria prepare yourself to meet your future in-laws." That order confuses Voltaria. She got up to stand.  “What do you mean?"  “We want to marry you off to Princess Cara Akeldama." King Andrei smiles evilly. Voltaria's eyes widen.  “NO! I have my own lover, Radomir!" King Andrei expression turned grim.  “You will not marry that filthy excuse of a man."  "HE IS MY DAUGHTER’S FATHER!" Voltaria thundered. She really does have her father’s temper.  "DON'T BE RIDICULOUS! THAT FILTHY MAN WILL NEVER BE MY IN-LAW!" King Andrei walks towards Voltaria.  “Marry the princess or I will impale that girl. I don't care if she's my granddaughter. I don't have a granddaughter from a filthy farmer!" Voltaria ball her hands into a fist. The queen noticed this and hissed.  Voltaria turns her heel and stormed off from throne room in fury. Nezera now and follows her sister out. She is too afraid to say anything. Voltaria slammed the door as her sister went in.  "WHAT DOES HE THINK HE IS?!" Voltaria screams her frustration.  “He's the King... Our father." Voltaria threw a ball of fire towards the ceiling. Nezera snapped her fingers to put out the fire that’s about to burned her sister’s room "He really wants me to marry a woman?!" Nezera chuckles.  “Come to think of it, I never dream of seeing you with a woman." Voltaria sighs. “This is not a laughing matter! I love Radomir, Nez. I don't like this princess."  “Her name is Selene Caralia Akeldama, the next ruler of this realm, descendent of Selene, the goddess." Voltaria looks at her sister.  "Whatever she is.. I still love Radomir. And Violeta needs a father, not her." Nezera rolled her eyes.  "Isn't it time for you to move on? I mean. You met him every week for s*x, but did he ever say he loves you? After Violeta was born, he changed... You really want to carry another kid without him around?" Voltaria knows her sister notice it too.  “I don't know. I really love him. And he has everything I need." Nezera chuckles.  "You mean the right genital?" Voltaria grabs a pillow and threw it at her sister. A knock stops the two vampire siblings from bantering with each other.  “Princesses... The dresses the queen request for you." The maid place the dresses on the bed.  "Seriously... Obviously, we're siblings... But why must we wear the same thing?" Nezera asks as she looks at the dresses.  Voltaria took a shower and put on the dress her mother had prepared. She walks out of the bathroom and ask the maid to enter again and prepared her for the opening ceremony of Amador festival.  The maids do the same thing for Nezera. They present them the royal crown and bow as they place the crown on the princesses head.  "Please prepare princess Violeta as well."  “She's all ready my princess." The maid opens the door and little Violeta walks towards her mother.  “Look... Pretty..." Voltaria lifted her daughter up and smile at her action.  “Oh, Violeta... I love you so much." Voltaria kiss her little girl cheeks and smile.  “Momma..." Violeta wrapped her little arms around Voltaria's neck.  "Yes, my princess?"  “Hungry.." Voltaria chuckles.  “We will have something to eat after the festival opening ceremony."  “Look," Nezera said by the window.  “They're here. I can see their fancy limo drive-in." Voltaria walk towards the window and her sister was right.  “Well. Let's go and pretend as if everything is okay.” Voltaria said. She is ready to fight for her right. *** CARA'S POV We've arrived at the Amador royal palace. It is what Raelia mentioned before. The grand palace made from the finest black marble walls. Look a lot like a gothic castle if you ask me. It shows how  dark and mysterious this kingdom is.  I watched as my parents and grandparents got out of the limo before following their footstep. I noticed the King and queen of this kingdom waiting for us at the door. I watched as the King, Andrei walked towards my parents. His dark hair was perfectly comb so that the crown he wore won't be messy looking.  His expensive suit and Royal cape were well iron. No wrinkle at all. The queen, Bernia, wore the finest silk dress, also with her Royal cape and crown. They both bow in front of us and offered us to come in.  "You must be princess Cara?" The King smile. I smile back.  “I am." He looks at me from head to toe. He must be wondering why I'm not wearing a dress like I should. I choose to wear my warrior leather suit instead of a dress. I haven't worn any type of dress in years. The suit only covers my breast, chest area and my arms, making my tone abs stomach visible. The leather pants I wore covered my torso and as accessories are my swords, knives and chains.  "Interesting attire my princess." The King said.  "One of a kind." I smile at him.  “She's perfect." He said as he turned to face grandmother Kora. My grandmother just smile in return. What is this? I am perfect? What does he mean by that?  The King was giving us a tour of his palace when my eyes caught on someone descending the stairs. Her bleach hair in a braid, complete with her crown. Her pale face beautified by modern makeup and her flowing dress just perfectly suit her.  "Right on time. Meet my daughters, princess Voltaria.." The bleach hair woman bow.  “And this is princess Nezera." Another bleach beauty but not as beautiful as the eldest Amador.  "And this... that creature is my daughter's child, Violeta." A little vampire made herself visible from Voltaria's back and bow to us. Such manners.  Am I sensing the King disgust for this beautiful little vampire? I look at the kid thoroughly. She does have her mother's hair. I wonder who's the father. "What are you waiting for Voltaria, show the princess our castle." I noticed she rolled her eyes before politely asking me to join her and Violeta.  "Nice clothes." She scoffs. I raised my eyebrows.  "I'm sensing a lot of anger and... Disapprove.." I said as we walk down the hallways.  “I'm always this angry." She answered me back.  "Is this real?" The little vampire asked when she touched u swords.  “Yes, it's real," I answered.  “Like momma. She knows to use them too." Ohh. So the snob know how to dance with a sword? That's good.  “Violeta... Don't talk to a stranger." She warned her daughter.  “She's not stranger," Violeta said.  “She's a princess. She's in one of the books you read to me. She's a hero." Violeta said, making me blushed.  "Well, she's not the hero." What is wrong with her. Seriously?!  “Don't talk to my daughter!" She warned as Violeta went to grab something. I held up my hands. After several walks, she leads me to a dining hall where my family is waiting for me. That's some tour. I chuckle.  I went to sit beside my grandmothers and smiled at everyone.  “Having fun?" The queen asked.  “Oh, yea. So much." I said with a hint of sarcasm. Grandma Kharis steps on my foot to warned me of my behaviour. Mom begins to give me her famous glared.  "So my queen..." The King started. Mom smiled at him.  “If it's alright, I would like to announce our daughter's marriage to the whole kingdom." Both I and Voltaria cough out our meal. What is this I'm hearing?! Marriage?! Me? And her?!  WHAT!  “But... But..." Grandma Kora holds me down.  "Father..." The King glared at her daughter. His eyes fixed on Violeta.  Voltaria didn't get to say anything as she hold her daughter in her arms.  “Mother..." Momma looked at me with pleading eyes.  “It's alright." Mom smiled.  “You have all the rights to announce this amazing news." Mom raised her glass to me and drink. They all planned this whole trip! Why I should marry that ice princess! She's clearly not fond of me! "Perfect. I will make this announcement in front of the whole kingdom after this." I leaned into grandma Kharis.  “Please help. Look at her. She's not fond of me. I don't want to betray Soleria." I pleaded. Grandma Kharis looked at Voltaria.  “My child she looks... Afraid... Look at how she holds her daughter... And Cara... She's been gone for 10 years. I think it's time to move on.."  "But... We don't have the hots for each other..." I bantered. Caca whined and howled as her eyes landed on Voltaria.  “Speak for yourself, Cara... She's mine... Is that her child? She's our pup!" Again she howled. Caca instantly feels the need to protect them.  "What about Soleria?" I asked my wolf. She whined and sit on the very corner of my mind. Grandma Kharis chuckled and patted my head.  "Looks like Caca found her second mate. What about you Cara?" I looked down and sigh. I can feel she's burning holes in me with her glare.  She’s probably thinking why didn't I protest about this. Believe me, if I do, grandma Kharis will turn her eyes to bloodshot red and force me to watch the most gruesome kills she ever did.  I don't want to witness that again. The King and queen of Amador look like someone who just won something. “With this marriage, are we granted access to the great Akeldama treasures?" The queen suddenly asked but instantly was interrupted by the King.  "What my wife meant was will my daughter have her rights." Mom placed her glass on the table.  "She will have all the rights."  “Even your slave my queen?" The Queen asked.  “We don't have slaves. Just servants." The King cleared his throat.  “I would like to ask for your help in building my monument. I need every manpower to make it succeed." The king is too much! "Like I said before King Andrei... Your daughter has the rights.." Mom smiled at Voltaria.  "Including her daughter as the realm crown princess." Momma turned to smile at her as well.  "Come to our kingdom and we can talk about their preparation for the Royal wedding." Mom said. I sigh heavily. I really can't get away from this huh.  Unless... That princess... Have her own mate... I smirk at her. I will make sure she will not be my bride.
