Chapter 5 - The Alpha's Lair

Julian held the door open for me and I walked inside. It was a rustic wooden house with two stories. Everything was simple, but elegant. I saw a large living room with a large stone fireplace. A fur rug was lying on the floor in front of a brown leather sofa and there was a TV in the corner. “This is beautiful.” I said and traced my fingers over a wooden table by the wall. “It’s home.” Julian shrugged. “Come on, my room is upstairs.” “I’m an only child, so the upstairs area is basically all mine.” Julian added as the staircase ended in a narrow hallway. He opened the door to a large bedroom. There was a bed by the far wall, with windows in the sloped roof where the summer sun streamed in. There was a sofa right inside the door with a TV on the opposite wall, and next to the bed was a series of drawers that I guessed was his closet. “Bathroom is right across the hall.” Julian said. I looked up at him, feeling nervous. When he put my backpack down, I instinctively backed away from him. “You don’t have to be afraid of me.” Julian said calmly, but didn’t come closer to me. “I understand that you’re scared, and it’s okay, but I’m really not going to hurt you.” I gulped down some air to calm myself down. “I’m sorry.” I whimpered. “I just… I’ve just never done something like this before.” Julian frowned. “Wait.” He said and took a few steps towards me. “Are you a virgin?” I gulped. “Well… yes.” I said sheepishly. He raised his eyebrows. “Okay.” He said. “Is that a bad thing?” I blurted. He chuckled. “No.” He replied. “I’m just surprised that you would agree to this even though you’ve never had s*x before.” “Sure beats dying.” I shrugged and smiled sheepishly. Julian chuckled again. “Fair enough.” He said. I forced myself to stay rooted to my spot when he walked up to me and took my hands in his. My hands were so small compared to his, and they were practically engulfed in his palms. “You shouldn’t have hurt yourself like this.” He muttered and clicked his tongue. “Come here.” He led me out of the room and into a bathroom. I yelped in surprise when he lifted me up effortlessly and sat me down on the basin. “Based on what you were saying before and… well… this, I’m guessing that werewolves are stronger than humans.” I said nervously. “Perceptive.” Julian replied and rummaged through a box. “We heal fast too, so this first aid kit isn’t exactly used all that often.” I held out my wrist while he cleaned the wounds and applied some form of ointment, I hissed at the stinging, but it quickly dissipated. “So how come a beautiful girl like you are wandering the mountains on her own?” Julian asked. “I was on my way to Keeper’s Point.” I replied. “I kind of got distracted by the deers you were chasing when I saw you in the forest and I left the trail.” He shook his head. “Leaving the trails is one of the most dangerous things you can do.” He frowned. “I realize that.” I muttered. “I’m paying a high price for it now, ain't I?” Julian put the lid back on the ointment jar and put it back in the box. “True.” He replied and helped me down before leading me back to the bedroom. “So how do we do this?” I asked, hugging myself and gluing my gaze to the floor. “First, you need to think of a safeword.” He said. I frowned. “A what?” “I know that you’re not here of your own free will, and you’re doing this just to survive, but I’m not a rapist.” Julian said. “If you surrender yourself to me, you could be enjoying this just as much as I will. But if you feel like it’s too intense, too painful or too uncomfortable, you need to have a safeword. Say it, and I’ll immediately stop whatever I’m doing.” I blurted out the first thing that came to mind. “Chicken salad?” Julian laughed. “Sure, that works.” He chuckled. “I would advise you not to overuse the safe word though. This isn’t going to work if you scream ‘chicken salad’ every time I try to touch you.” I laughed and shook my head. “I won’t.” I reassured him. I didn’t know how I could feel so comfortable in the company of a man that basically had my fate resting in his hands, but I decided that I didn’t have anything to lose anymore and that I should listen to my gut for once and just go with this. * Julian POV I studied Jax’s movements, and I was happy that I could make her smile. That meant that she wasn’t as scared as I first thought. Or, I hoped so. I really didn’t want to scare her. She had an amazing body with perfect curves accentuated by the tights she was wearing. Her breasts filled up her bra, revealing enough cleavage to make my mouth water. She smelled of roses, and even if I could tell that she wasn’t my mate, she smelled heavenly. If I played my cards right, she could be the perfect little f*ckbuddy I needed, and I couldn’t wait to try out all of my s*xual fantasies on her, even the things I didn’t want to try on the she-wolves in the pack, it would suck if some of what I wanted to do became the talk of the town. But this time I didn’t have to hold back. Maybe a little. She was a virgin, after all. Actually, her virginity only excited me more. I walked up to her and she craned her neck to meet my gaze as I towered over her. “First test, little human.” I whispered. “Take off your clothes.”
