JOSHUA and I eventually decided to keep the space in the department store and use it to market our leather bags. We also took Phoebe up on her suggestion and decided to venture into the leather bag industry. We set up a subsidiary of Weaved, Inc., so we can establish a separate brand for the bags. It's not that we don't want it associated with our weaved bags, but in case we don't succeed in the leather bags industry, there won't be much backlash, if any.
We hired an operations manager to handle the production of the leather bags. Joshua recommended one of the supervisors from the production floor named Fred, for the position.
