Tyler
The next morning, after helping with breakfast and finishing my shift of work, I went to talk to Luna Agatha; I needed to tell her about the Alphas’ plan. She was sun-tanning by the swimming pool while her seven-year-old pup, Lily, was playing with the Beta’s pup and her omega pupsitter.
I got closer to her and cleared my throat, “Luna Agatha, I need to talk to you.”
“Tyler, are you the inconvenient shadow that is blocking the sun? Don’t you see that I am busy right now?” she huffed, turning around and covering herself with a thin towel before sipping her colourful mini-umbrella-decorated cocktail.
“It’s important, Luna Aghata,” I insisted. I didn’t listen to the Alphas’ whole conversation, so I didn’t know when they planned their attack, it could be soon, very soon. I had to act now before it was too late and Hunter’s soul was shattered beyond repair.
She huffed, and looked at me from behind her oversized sunglasses, “It better be really important, Tyler. Come on, go ahead, tell me.”
“I overheard a conversation between Alpha Fergus—the former Alpha Fergus—and other ranked wolves a few days ago. They were planning to kill Clair before the Royal Summit, for her to not have a chance to do her omega advocating thing and change the laws about omegas,” I started, she frowned slightly, giving me a bored look, “I have to tell Hunter about their plan, warn them before is too late,” I added and she shook her head and took another sip of her ridiculous drink.
“You are trying to save Clair’s life now? You were the one who tried to get rid of her, and now you are trying to save her life?” Luna Agatha furrowed her brows and grinned, “Is that a trick to not clean toilets? It’s getting old, Tyler! You are the laziest omega of the pack! You should be embarrassed!”
“Luna Agatha, please. I’m telling the truth. You don’t have to let me go to pass this piece of information to Alpha Hunter. Just ask someone to tell him, ask Alpha Matteo to mind-link him.”
“And you expect me to believe that you had a change of heart and now you want to help Clair and Hunter? Oh, pup! I won’t fall for that! You are just trying to annoy and upset them! You are trying to stress Clair while she is pregnant, which is pretty mean! Pregnancies are hard enough without having bullies around. You really went from Beta to bitter, Tyler! Now, let me get back to my sun-time and go to work! Everyone else does their work, so you're gonna do it as well.”
She said lying on her belly once again, taking a relaxing sigh and murmuring under her breath, “What will he come up with next? At least he is getting more creative.”
A sharp exhale left my lips. Now I had to try and talk to Alpha Matteo, which would be even harder than convincing Luna Agatha which was why I came to her first.
Sitting on a bench nearby, I placed my elbow on my knees and buried my face in my hands... If only I had a way to mind-link Hunter or pass a message to him since he refuses to pick up my calls. Even when I used the pack’s phone, he hung up as soon as he heard my voice.
“We must go there and tell everything to Hunter!” Rolf barked, even my jer.k wolf agreed with me. Besides everything, now I learned that Clair was carrying a pup, Hunter wouldn’t only lose his mate but also his unborn child. It would destroy him completely.
My legs marched to the Alpha’s office full of determination and I told him everything I overheard.
Alpha Mateo laughed at me, “You expect me to believe you? That’s absurd, Tyler! Things have changed in the last years and Luna Clair is very well accepted. No one would dare to attempt against her life, nor challenge Alpha Hunter and their allies. You are abusing my goodwill and my patience. Out of my office, Tyler! I have work to do and I am sure you have something better to do as well! Leave it Tyler, don’t mention this insanity again and don’t do anything reckless!” he lashed out, anger making his jaw lock and contorting his normally calm face.
I left the office and exhaled as Rolf released an angry growl in my mind. No one would believe or help me. Not even working as a damn omega and spending days stuck cleaning dirty toilets made me feel so hopeless! That was when her scent invaded my nose and I heard her voice.
“Tyler, you didn’t close the door well after you entered the office; I overheard your conversation,” Bianca told me.
And now that, one more person would doubt me, and for some illogical reason, I wanted her to believe me so badly.

Hunter
“What are you doing? Where are you taking me, Hunter?” my sweet Luna giggled as I guided her to a very special place. Her eyes were covered with a blindfold. I wanted to surprise her and have a relaxing and romantic moment before all the stress of the Royal Summit started and she was way too far in her pregnancy to be able to do some things.
“You have to wait, we are almost there,” I whispered in her ear.
“We have to be back at the Pack Castle in a few hours. Sara loves to stay with Vanessa, but she has a lot of work to do. I don’t want to burden her,” Clair said. Our one-year-old pup was with Sara, who was like a mom to my mate. “She was over the moon to pupsit Vanessa. I don’t even think she remembers she has work to do. Everything is taken care of, you work too much as a Luna, a nurse and a mom, now is your time to relax and enjoy, Sweets,” I told her.
I took off her blindfold as soon as we arrived at the small clearing by the lake. Clair smiled brightly and looked at me, “I love this place, so many good memories.”
That was the place our wolves mated for the first time more than six years ago, after Clair’s first shift.
“I know, Sweets. Let’s make new memories,” I grinned, spinning her around in my arms and taking her lips with mine as my hand slid down her back in a sensual caress.
“You want a replay, Mr. Alpha?” she asked, arching a brow and flashing me a teasing yet sweet smile.
“I always want to play and replay with you, but first, I was thinking about a picnic,” I said, showing her the little basket by my feet.
She smiled, “I knew I had smelled cherry pies, that’s great, exactly what I was craving.” Her hand roamed down to her cute little bump as she said those words, she was six weeks along, which meant that our little boy would be born in two months.
I helped her to sit down and took her in my arms as soon as the picnic was settled. My hands roamed down her shoulder, her muscles were stiff, I knew she tended to overwork herself, but she was doing too much lately, especially being with pup.
“Sweets, you have to relax, what is stressing you out that much?” I asked as I started massaging her shoulders slowly, just in the way she liked it. After six years since I made her mine, I knew her body like a map, all the ways to pleasure and relax her.
“It’s the Royal Summit. I’ve prepared my speech and tackled the laws I want to propose changes for. But it’s way too important for me to get anything wrong. It has to work, Hunter. Alphas and Lunas only have the opportunity to change the Realm’s laws every ten years, so it must be effective. The omegas around the realm can’t be poorly treated for ten more years. The change must happen now.”
“I know, Sweets, and it will work. You aren’t alone. I will be there with you and help you in your speech, back you up. Besides that, you are good. Your words, actions and life history have already inspired so many. Just do what you do best and follow your instincts. It will work, Clair. I have complete faith in you,” I smiled, combing a stray lock of her chocolate-colored hair behind her ear and placing a kiss on her cheek.
“I know you have my back and that it’s not only my fight anymore, but ours.” She turned around slowly and brushed her soft lips against mine, her caramel-colored eyes darker with desire.
“I think I want to skip the picnic, I am not craving cherries anymore… now I am in a mood for,” she started and her wolf, Hope, surfaced completing her sentence.
“Banana!” Hope said through Clair’s lips.
Chuckling at her words, I cupped her beautiful face, “whatever you want, my Luna.” Soon, I was hovering over my female and taking her clothes off slowly, my lips trailing around her soft skin.
“I told you that this was the better way to make her relax, Hunter!” my very opinionated wolf chimed in, his weird wolf grin on his face.
I ignored him and continued kissing my beautiful Luna as if we were the only ones in the world. Nothing mattered now, nothing could hurt us.
