CHAPTER 6

1020 Words
Emilia entered her house with slow, trembling steps, a heavy knot of fear twisting in her chest. The sight that met her eyes was nothing short of shocking, leaving her paralyzed with terror. Her once-familiar home was now overrun with men clad in ominous black suits, each one brandishing a cold, menacing firearm. Emilia stood frozen near the entrance, unable to comprehend the horror before her. As she took a few cautious steps forward, her heart sank further. The floor was stained with blood, crimson patterns marring the once-pristine surroundings. Tears welled up in her eyes, and she felt a wave of despair wash over her as she caught sight of her father's lifeless form. " Dad! " Emilia's anguished cry tore through the air, and her tears flowed uncontrollably. She was met with the chilling gaze of a man who seemed both handsome and utterly malevolent. His eyes were holding rage. He sat nonchalantly on a chair, using his gleaming black boot to press her father's face into the floor. Emilia's resolve strengthened, and she inched closer, her quivering hands gripping the man's leg as she attempted to free her father. But the man remained unmoved, his gaze locked onto her, an enigmatic expression veiling his true intentions. " Who are you? " Emilia choked out, fear lacing her words as she locked eyes with the man with striking sky-blue irises. He remained silent, his silence intensifying her fear. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she pleaded, her voice trembling, " Please... Please, let my father go. He hasn't done anything......" Her voice grew weaker with each word, but the man continued to stare at her with a hunger and rage that sent shivers down her spine. The man cruelly squeezed her face with his fingers, moulding her lips into an "O" shape. His voice cut through the tense atmosphere, dripping with anger, " This man has caused me a million-dollar loss, and you claim he hasn't done anything? " Emilia's tears flowed more freely as the man continued to torment her, his grip unrelenting. He seemed as though he could devour her at any moment. Then, with a sudden, brutal move, he grabbed her arm and yanked her to her feet, all the while kicking her injured father lying helplessly on the floor. Emilia screamed as the man kicked her father once again. Her pleas for help grew desperate, and she rushed toward the door, crying out for assistance. But the man was quicker, snatching her by the arm and pulling her close. His large hand stifled her screams, covering her mouth as he leaned in, brushing her ear with his lips. " You and your father will pay for the loss you have caused me...........," he hissed menacingly, his grip on her mouth unyielding. He then ordered, " I want this man in the basement..........," kicking Dawson mercilessly once more. Emilia's world spun as she witnessed more blood flow from her father's battered face. She grew numb with dread as the man turned away, only to be met with a chilling sight: Emilia lay unconscious on the floor. The man couldn't hide his sinister grin. He scooped her fragile form into his arms and carried her out of the house, heading toward the shiny black cars that waited outside. Shane, holding Emilia's unconscious body in his arms, settled into his sleek black car. His gaze kept returning to her as he drove back to the mansion. She appeared so innocent and pure, and he couldn't help but fixate on her. " No, Shane, control yourself............," he muttered to himself, attempting to quell the unexpected surge of sympathy. " This girl is as evil as her dad..............," he reminded himself sternly. He reached out to touch her face, his fingers tracing the soft contours of her features. His thumb brushed her soft lips, and a twisted grin twisted across his face. At that moment, he found himself utterly powerless to resist the overwhelming impulse to reach out and caress her, an insatiable hunger burning within him, compelling him to possess her repeatedly. In his eyes, she was more than just a mere object of desire; she embodied qualities and virtues he had never encountered in all the women and companions he had crossed paths with before. He grappled with the realization that he had become the cruellest of devils, untouched by the gentle embrace of love, while she stood before him as an innocent kitten ensnared in an inescapable web of his dark desires. " You'll be my little plaything, Princess.............," Shane whispered with desire in his eyes. " I won't go easy on you, just like your father. You deserve no sympathy. You and your father will pay dearly................" ................................................................. Upon their arrival at the mansion, Shane was taken aback to find his brother's car parked outside the entrance. He stepped out of the car, Emilia still unconscious in the back seat beside him. As he approached the mansion, Shane was greeted by his brother, John, who couldn't hide his excitement at seeing Shane after a long time. Shane felt a flicker of warmth towards his brother, someone he genuinely cared about in his otherwise solitary life. " John...........," Shane exclaimed with genuine enthusiasm. He'd always valued his independence, away from his stepmother, Monica. Shane was not one for compromise and sharing, and he allowed no one to encroach upon his private domain. Shane's affection for John was real, but he harboured a nagging suspicion that his brother might have ulterior motives. John and Shane's stepmother, Monica, had never truly loved him, and Shane couldn't shake the feeling that they were playing a dangerous game. He was entangled in a far more perilous game than he had ever dared to imagine. There was a venomous hatred concealed beneath those saccharine words and that beguiling smile, a seething resentment that promised to exact a heavy toll. The man who posed a threat to the entire world now teetered on the precipice of his own impending doom, a swirling tempest of danger closing in on him from all sides.
