Chapter Nine I did my best all week to sit as far away from her as possible in TAFE and not look at her. Occasionally I felt her eyes bore into me before she turned away. She never showed any other signs that she cared so I shrugged it off. I never want to be in an abusive relationship, ever, so it was really better for me not to talk to her. But because we were partners for TAFE, we had to eventually talk, or work. Each day I stayed at the far end of the desk and clicked away at the laptop, writing up the written notes we had and extending them, as she read her book at the other end and took more notes.
