Cosette was aware of Yunee's concerns, but if she were to compensate Carl, she should be the one to look after him.
Yunee was like family to her, and Yunee's help in raising Carl meant everything to Cosette.
"Yunee, I know what you're worried about. I'll handle it." Cosette said.
Yunee felt assured. Cosette was not like Yunee and always thought everything through thoroughly before doing anything. If Cosette decided to bring Carl to live with her, she would make sure she was well prepared.
Carl was delighted at Cosette's promise.
They returned to the dining table.
