Chapter 27: Never Go to Bed Angry I could make it easy on us both and apologize now. Sidle up behind Dan, ease my arms around his waist, rest my chin on his shoulder and blow gently on his neck, my breath cooling his sweat. “I’m sorry, baby,” I could say. It would be that simple. He’d turn in my arms and kiss me, and everything would be right again. Only it isn’t that simple.
