Chapter 8Ariel was the one working the counter at Moon Books when Di arrived. She was in the middle of tending to a customer with dark hair so Di wandered back over to the tools and jewelry displays. She did a quick survey of the store as well, hoping that maybe her mystery woman would be here. She saw no one with even a speck of blonde in their hair. “Hello again,” Ariel said. She had wandered over to the bookshelf area, restocking something from the front counter, just as Di looked up. “Lovely to see you again.” “Same to you,” Di said, happy to be remembered. Ariel made small talk, asking about the books she’d bought the last time and if she’d enjoyed them. “Yes, finished them rather quickly, too.” “Would you like me to recommend some others? We have this fantastic one by—” “Not rig
