Chapter 4Di was on the bus when she saw the moon again. This time it was on a sign for a local shop—but the bus passed too quickly before she could understand what it was. She tugged the lever for the bus, knowing she could get off and get back on again in an hour or so, and walked back up the two blocks.
She stood in front of an average size storefront that had piles of books in the display window. The shop’s full sign read Moon Stones, Books, & Readings. The door was painted in purple and contained the store’s hours along with a moon phase calendar; it was currently set to the full moon also named the October Harvest Moon. Di pushed the door open and heard a soft bell chime. The scent of patchouli and jasmine incense filled her nose. The sound of running water came from a small fountain
