Chapter 6
Awake; not a dream
Estelle looked at Jason, he was taking her somewhere and now she was standing in front of the vast lake with no where to go.
The place looked quite familiar though.
“Now where?” Estelle asked.
“Now ahead” Jason replied easily.
“No no no no” Estelle stepped back “I am not drenching myself in water” she rubbed her arms “besides its cold.”
Jason smiled “hold my hand.”
She looked at him skeptically, his blue eyes alluring her to follow each and every word of his.
It didn’t help that her heart was beating erratically, something she’d read in books but not experienced
“Do you trust me?” Jason asked.
“I am here with you.” Estelle smiled “aint I” and then started laughing “and how so much stupid it may sound since it been only couple of days since we met” She looked at him, they were standing very close to each other, their shoulders brushing “I trust you.’
Jason stared at her for a long time, she returned the stare looking at the blue eyes, her gray green looking very delectable to Jason but he shrugged it off.
“Let’s go” he said.
He closed his eyes, Estelle mimicked same action and just like her dream a ball was formed from the center of her chest.
This time she could not hold that ball. Instead it merged with the ball that emanated from Jason then stretching into cluster of rays of light that fell on the floor like a burning waterfall thus forming a pathway.
Jason opened his eyes to find Estelle stunned at the scene in front f her “I am dreaming right?” she asked.
Jason chuckled “you ask this every time we are here.”
Estelle furrowed her brows “I have been here before?”
Jason simply extended his hands asking her politely to step ahead.
Millions of questions in her head Estelle walked assured that this was all a dream.
Once the illuminated pathway was crossed Estelle stood in the white land filled with snow, a lot of smiling snow men stationed after certain distance.
Estelle was amazed at the beauty of the place but soon she started shivering.
She took a deep breath and was channelizing her energy to get the same power ball but Jason stopped her “no don’t” he said resting his hand on the small back of hers “this will help you later.”
While Estelle was shivering of the cold wind Jason walked calmly avoiding to utter a word, his concentration on the measured steps that he was taking on the snowy path making sure not to fall.
Estelle might have smiled at the end of pathway relieved that she could no wbreath that the cold and freezing air was gone .
She relaxed too at the warmth that she got from the orange and red ambience.
“I wouldn’t wait here if I was you” Jason commented.
Immediately Estelle’s hand reached her forehead to wipe off her sweat.
She looked around to find the bushes of fire, violent flames orange, yellow and red filled the clear sky and Estelle hastened her steps following after Jason.
Estelle bumped into Jason, she was breathing hard running or speed walking trying to catch up with Jason.
She did not remember her thoughts except the survival instinct of being quick.
She took a moment to look around to see the soft wet ground beneath her feet. It seemed that it had drizzled earlier, the grass was green and shiny and the bushes around were green and filled with tiny flowers.
She remembered the place vividly.
She’d been here before. In fact this was the most beautiful place she’d ever been.
She looked around for lake and there it was filled with crystal clear water.
She ran towards it and looked overhead to see the shining moon.
Was it night already?
She couldn’t say but it was moon on top of her head so probably it was midnight.
She had never been out of her house that late ever before. She got worried
Then she hit her forehead softly “it is just a dream” she eased herself “relax”
“No this is not just a dream Estelle” Jason smiled “you are here, in your flesh and blood “Not just in your thoughts.”
“But…” Estelle panicked all of a sudden “but Jason. I cant.. I shouldn’t … How?”
“Relax” Jason looked at her, his blue eyes that were shining even more brightly glistened under the moonlight “you are safe here.”
“No” Estelle cried, “I am not. This place is not safe. Soon this place will be haunted, thousand of black…” she stopped
“What?” he asked “thousands of what…”
“Nothing” Estelle could not word out her fear “it is nothing. Can you show me the way out?”
“No” Jason answered immediately and Estelle felt cheated. He couldn’t do this to her “From here you have to find your way.”
“Jason” Estelle shouted, “I trusted you.”
“You did the right thing Estelle
“ He gave a sad smile “you still have to keep with your faith and trust me” he placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, his touch calming her “You would be safe here but you have to find your own way.”
“But” Estelle was on verge of crying “I don’t know about this place. I am new here, I might get lost. You’ll have to help me.” She begged
“I am sorry Estelle” Jason lowered his head in guilt “I am afraid I cannot help you more than that”
Heart sinking in her boots Estelle simply stared at him “Just remember you are here for a purpose and you are meant for bigger things in life.”
“What are you saying” Estelle felt lost in all the ways physically, mentally and emotionally “what bigger things? Darn! you cannot leave me here alone. Where should I go? What do I have to do? Simply guide me.”
“I can tell you only one thing” Jason so badly wanted to hug her fear and insecurities away “Just remember you are THE Chosen One”
Estelle took a corner and slumped on it sure that this was all a dream and soon the dark shadows would arrive and carry her away back to her life thatw as real and there was nothing magic or mystery about it.
She waited long enough for the dark shadow , for the eventual end of dreams but nothing.
So she stood up, rubbed her dusty denims and started to walk.
She saw the bushes with buds but did not dare to sit down and touch them.
She wanted to live this dream differently.
What if all this is real?
What if there are unicorns with horns and they poop out pearls and diamonds! Estelle nodded at the voice inside her.
Of course this was all a dream.
How else could she see the similar white house in front of her eyes?
How desperately she wanted to see the interior of the house in he last dream.
So dream or not
“Lets get going and kill the curiosity off your dreams,” she mumbled to herself.
She walked through the snow white sand. The whole place was so white. She wondered if it was snowing but the pleasant weather stated something else.
She liked it that way.
Green plants looke dgrea on the white sand. She wondered if the sand was that rich.
Probably not because there weren’t any trees.
She was so far awy from normal life. It was difficult to even get daily supplies.
But the house was so white and the fencing which was silver looked really classy. The owner had planted some greens outside, a proof that there were in this la la white land.
She longed for a company, somebody to talk. She missed Jason and was also annoyed at him to leave her there alone.
“What if Jason did not exist at all? What if he was also figment of her imagination?”
She pressed her forehead, a habit she’d developed when she’d think too hard.
Once on the doorstep she noticed that the door was made of white flowers with green stems. It was like creepers grown on the door but there was no door at all. The creepers were growing in the air. She wanted to check if there was some invisible laser sheet or new scientific discovery of the metal that she was unaware of.
She imaginarily hit her head “you are in a dream silly” she chuckled and voice of her soft laughter echoed through the halls.
She did not realize that the door had opened up on its own.
“What no bells?” she spoke to no one,
The spick and span home had white walls
“how does the owner maintain this place?” she was mesmerized at the beauty and classiness of the home, huge walls, glass or no glass whatever this new metal was it was nice. The white sofas and chairs
The chandelier on the top was a beauty of is own, made of fresh flowers it illuminated like there were thousands of fireflies rested on them.
The place was so cool yet there wasn’t any conditioning or fan out there.
She kept walking from one room to another looking for the residents of such a pretty bungalow.
Each and every room more prettier than the other, each smelted of flowers and the minimal furniture was a splendid work of the artist.
There was something unsettling about the place and it was absence of any life.
‘Did no one live here?” Estelle worded. “no staff. Nothing”
Then when she was about to turn and go back but the last room from the corner became visible.
“Do I want o make a look? They are all beautiful and empty.” She was debating
“Heck yeah” she answered to herself walking ahead to the room.
Surprisingly the room wasn’t empty instead on the round bed in the center of huge room was occupied with a man.
She knew this man,
She remembered vividly.
“Yes!” she mentally celebrated “I am neither lost or alone.” She smiled “I am back into my dream and yoohoo! This handsome guy is the one I saw in my dreams.”
“Too bad this is just a dream, this handsomeness should be real. It is deprivation of the real world.”
She heard giggles.
The man was surrounded by tiny butterflies fluttering their wings.
She looked at those butteflies and thought they were angels.
Her imaginations were becoming very creative’ she chuckled at her thought.
Estelle looked closely to find that the butterflies had the body of a human and their wings were shining brightly. They were hovering over him trying to protect him.
“Wouldn’t they hurt him?” Estelle was concerned all of a sudden.
She stepped ahead and looked at him sleeping peacefully on the bed that had snow white bed sheet and was surrounded by lace of flowers on all the three sides.
The guy looked pale though and he wasn’t sleeping “he is unconscious” Estelle got worried.
She stretched to put her palm on his forehead to check. Once her skin came in touch with his, he opened his eyes.
For a second Estelle was startled, she quickly pulled her hand back.
“I .. I am sorry. I shouldn’t” Estelle stammered “I shouldn’t have trespassed but you have a beautiful house, I couldn’t stop myself.”
“I am Triczar” he now sat on the bed, his back leaning on the bed stand “I feel a little dizzy” he stated.
“Yes” Estelle spoke loudly “I mean no yes yes” she tried to clarify “not the yay! Yes, I mean not the one yes with a dancing girl emoji” Triczar furrowed his brows not understanding the new emoji sign e-language so Estelle clarified “I mean yes I thought that you are unwell too so I was checking since” she looked around once again confirming “there is no one around to take care of you.”
she then remembered “except those butterflies that looked like… “ she bit her lip she couldn’t mention what she saw since it was a dream
“But isn’t the handsome young man in the dream too” she thought out loud, “but it seems so real.
“Estelle” Triczar now stood up coming face to face with Estelle and she was mesmerized with the sparkling blue eyes of his, his cheeks now fuller and face glowing, he looked healthy now.
But how?
“It is all but a dream” Estelle smiled at him “you are handsome, really handsome, more handsome than Channing Tatum” she paused waving her hands dismissing her thoughts “but you are not real. This is all a part of dream” she smiled with a sweet pout “it’s a shame though.”
“Estelle.” Triczar addressed her, a wide smile gracing his face making a dent on both his cheekbones forming dimples.
“Look you know my name too. How is it possible?” she was lost between the world of reality and the wonderland “this is definitely my imagination and I am dreaming.” She turned around to leave.
“Wait” Triczar called holding her wrists.
His touch soft and smooth yet had the power to held her captive and tingling sensation spreading to all her body couldn’t be explained. She felt nice.
But the next word coming out of his mouth made Estelle think otherwise “This is not a dream. You are not dreaming.” He looked into her yes convincing her with “you are very much awake and in our land….
