Sitara POV "Where is the other files?" "They are with Kailash sir." "Then why did you tell me that they are on my table? When they aren't?" I try not to snap on her. "I'm sorry ma'am. They were here when I called you, I didn't know that Kailash sir took them from here." "What he was doing in my cabin? I told you not to allow anyone inside my cabin right?" She becomes quiet, "I couldn't stop him, ma'am." I sigh massaging my face with my hands. "It's okay I will talk with him, just don't allow anyone. If they use their position card, you use my card. Tell them to talk to me personally if they don't listen." "Okay, ma'am." "Call me Sitara, I'm younger than you and I don't like being called as ma'am." I stand up and walk towards the door, I step out of my cabin and go to where Kailash's cabin is. His department members are watching me with wide eyes. I hate this Kailash guy so much, he is the son of one of the board members. Thinks he is the walking prince which is a f*****g lie. I don't knock on his door and enter his cabin taking him by surprise. Bastard... He is talking with his PA, he smirks seeing me. I roll my eyes looking at his desk, I want the files. "What a surprise Sitara, I actually wanted to meet you but you don't give me a chance." I push the other files aside to find my files. I pick the blue file which is mine and turn around to leave when he stood up, in a second held on to my shoulder. "You should meet me and learn from your seniors Sitara," he squeezed my shoulder. I wrapped my hand around his wrist and twisted it turning around. He cried in pain as I held on to it twisting it to the point breaking it for touching me. "I don't need to learn something from the bastards. Get ready to f*****g leave this place." I look at his PA who is looking at us with wide eyes. "Pack this i***t's things." I have heard about Kailash troubling the interns and especially the female interns. They didn't raise their voice and I was waiting to break his bones. "Had enough of your bullshit, don't even use your dad's board member's card if you don't want him to be out of this company."  I unwrap my hand around his and push him to the ground. I step out of his cabin leaving the door wide open for his department members to see. I make a beeline towards the elevator, I need to talk with mum. Reaching her floor, I open the door after knocking. "Sitara..." "I want that Kailash to be out and never step into this building. I don't know how you are going to do or what you are going to do but I want him to be out. Get him fired..." "Calm down... Tell me what happened?" I tell his behaviour towards the new interns and trainers. "I'm not giving you a choice ma. I'm telling you to remove him before I do. You know I got the right to fire someone." "I'm leaving home." "Your sister is waiting for you." I nod my head, my head hurts. As I walk out I think about the scene in my home. My sister came home for the holidays and we are going on a vacation. My exam week ended, I asked Kavya to join me but she couldn't as her parents are coming home for holidays. I'm not excited about this vacation at all. For two reasons, one it is a family vacation. Two David is going to be there. We have been ignoring each other for the last two months now. I didn't see him at all and now he is going to join the vacation. Aarav can't join the vacation because of his new movie shooting. I miss my friends and it sucks that we can't meet for the Christmas holidays. * After spending some time at the coffee shop I returned home. I watched as the kids jump around in excitement. "Do you want me to make any snacks?" Farheen Aai asked. "It's okay Aai, I ate outside." "I want to rest for some time," I add going upstairs. "Did you pack your bags?" Vaishnavi Akka asked. "Nope, will do later. We are starting in the night right?" "We are going tomorrow. Everyone is in the backyard." "Nah, I'm going to rest for some time," I tell her. I already spoke with my sister yesterday and I don't want to meet anyone right now. Opening my door and locking it I went straight to my bed. By the time I woke up, it was eight and my stomach is growling for food. I went downstairs after washing my drool face. It is chaos, I shook my head waiting for food. "Ugh... I'm hungry, someone give me food," Pihu said walking in. "Hey, Akka." "Hey." She sits beside me keeping her phone aside. "You people came now?" "Yeah, Nana (dad) had some work." "Are they making dinner?" Pihu asked. "They did and others already had their dinner. Only you people left," Lilly aunty said. "Thank god, I can't wait till they cook." "Good." Farheen Aai and the other lady walked out with the warmed-up food. I serve my plate and Pihu does the same. "Did David came?" I don't answer her as I don't know and calmly eat my food. "He came, don't make him uncomfortable all the time. It doesn't look good," Vaishnavi Akka said to Pihu. "Where is he?" "In Elora's room. First, eat your food." "Okay." I finish my food and stand up to leave my plate in the washing basin. "Elora asked you, go and talk with her," mummy said. "What happened to Kailash? Did you fire him?" I ask with a serious face. "I did, you can check your emails." "Thank you." She smiled at me, I nod before going outside. "Where are you going?" Pihu asked. She is eating slowly. "Elora's room, finish your food, and come." "Okay." I watch my aunts gossiping and uncles talking about work. I skipped greeting them and went upstairs. The door was ajar so I saw David laughing at something my sister said. I stopped right there, thinking if I should go in or not. I watch him before going to the room. I shouldn't stop going in just because we are ignoring each other. Elora Akka and David look at me but I don't look at David as I enter the room. "Where were you?" Elora Akka asked me as I sat beside Cherry. "In my room." "What we're you doing?" "Sleeping," I tell her tucking my hair back. "What you kiddos are doing here?" I ask Cherry, Minu, Nishu and Avi. "Everyone is busy so they are playing here," Akka replied. I tickle Cherry as he tried to tickle me. Cherry laughs loudly, "you are a boy," Nishu says suddenly. I look at her, my brows frown in confusion. "Who said that?" Akka asked. "Boy?" "Mummy said girls are short and boys are tall. You are tall because you are a boy," Avi said. I roll my eyes and Akka laughed. "And also a monster..." Nishu adds. "Monster?" "Yes, you always scold everyone and grandma said you are a monster because you don't listen to anyone." I would be lying if I said her words didn't sting. I didn't know my aunts described me as a monster to their grandchildren. "Cool down, they are kids, and don't take that monster word to heart," David said. "Like I would actually care," I replied to him making the first eye contact in these two months. "True... It's true that you are a monster." He muttered to himself but I heard him. The kids and Akka chuckled but I acted as of I didn't care. I don't know why but I feel so out of place right now and it's awkward to sit. Rishi walked in with his books and fell on the bed. "Are you going to bring these books?" David asked Rishi. "Yes." "Where is the others? I didn't see anyone downstairs," Rishi said. "Aarav isn't coming, Nihal and Aansh will be here in an hour. Pihu is downstairs," Akka said. As I was talking with Rishi I heard David take my name and my sister talking about me. "Ask her what?" I said eyeing Akka and David. "Your ears are working, they are very sharp!" David said with sarcasm and a smile. "How great isn't it?" I said smiling sarcastically. "Please don't start your fight now. It won't end any time soon if you guys start and we all are going for a vacation," Pihu said walking towards us. "Hey, Pihu!" Rishi greeted her. "Hey, my favourite cousin!" She said before turning to David. "Hi, David... Lavid..." listening to that rhyming David groaned. "Hi, Pihu." "I'm so excited for this vacation," Pihu said. "Why?" Rishi asked. "I can spend time with David." I chuckled and David looked at me. "Don't worry Pihu, we will make sure that he is your seatmate," I tell. "Don't even think about it," David says looking at me. "Chill out David, it wouldn't happen." "Did you pack your luggage?" Akka asked. Right, I can escape easily. "Nah, I will go and pack my luggage," I say standing up. I leave the room as I don't want to be here. I haven't packed my luggage yet. We will be leaving early in the morning. I hear David and others laughing as I walk towards my room.
