Chapter Thirteen The rest of the day was quiet but busy as I got a lot of work done on library projects since there weren’t as many patrons there. The next few days were much the same, with the addition of the return of the construction din as the work started up again, making Wilson very pleased. The day of Cornelius’s funeral rolled around. Wilson had asked me to attend with him to represent the library. The funeral appeared to be a major event, as I guessed it might be. The service was held in the largest church in town and it was standing room only. There was a full choir, an orchestra, and Cornelius’s coffin lying in state in the midst of it all.
