Del I hate that he’s right. That I do like the game. And I hate that he knows it. There’s no denying it at this point and all the pretence from the class room I managed to pull off, it’s not going to work out here, in the real world. I try to make a step back and as I do I bump into some guy who dances with his girlfriend, because we are still in the middle of the f*ucking dance floor. The minute I get into contact with the stranger, both of us saying a quick excuse, Dzhan’s eyes grow even darker, murderous, and his grip on me only tightens. When did he even grab me? And why is there a part of me that doesn’t want him to let go? We stay like this, trapped into a net neither of us wants to escape.
