TWO SHRIEKS LET OUT when Jude and Sal arrived. I could hear them from the Infirmary.
And then the scurry of their running feet as they ran down the halls to where I was. They paused just a second at the doorway and then scampered over where I was sitting on the gurney and disconnecting the various leads taped on my skin.
The girls proceeded to smother me with hugs and kisses
That was a welcome home I could get used to.
When the two girls weren't obscuring my vision, I saw Ben and Granger in the Infirmary doorway, along with Hermione in Granger's arms (so the cat could both get petted and see the attention I was getting.)
Ben cleared his throat, loudly.
Jude and Sue backed up, with their tears running down their face and making a mess of their makeup. The widest smiles on their faces.
