"Rex, what did you say happened?" I asked again, staring into his eyes, searching for the truth he was hiding.
But he didn’t answer.
Rex stood there, with my two guards on either side of him. They kept their heads down, not daring to look at me. I could feel the fear in the room, and it only made me angrier. Rex, who was usually so confident, was now strangely quiet.
