The dinner is underway and the servants began placing individual plates in front of the guests. There were at least a dozen guests seated in the long dining table which could probably seat 20 people at one time. There were 6 teachers and 6 student leaders. This made Alexander wonder why she ended up being stuck, alone, with Travis Johnson!
Verna had been throwing confused looks at Alexandra as Travis pulled out a chair for Alex before settling himself beside her at the farthest end of the table. All Alexandra could give Verna was a shrug, a shake of her head, and a silent plea for help.
Verna grinned like an i***t as she watch Travis tug her friend to sit on the chair he had pulled out. She gave a small wave towards Alex before turning to Brian and Elvie who were seated in front of her.
