Sarah stepped out of the Cessna into a soaking rain and scurried to the waiting transport bus as Frank followed close behind. She found a seat inside the beat-up Fiat shuttle, and Frank parked their luggage in the seat in front of them. The flight from Lukla had been a bumpy ride even for Frank, or so he’d said. She peered out through the window at the long line of much-used single engine prop planes on the tarmac. For the last two weeks her every thought had been focused on the fundraiser.
