Chapter 17Eli was so tired, he feared he’d might throw up. A woman with a pad and a bunch of pens had come to Jaecar’s office, asking a zillion questions about what Varg and the man behind the garage looked like. She was amazing. The picture she’d drawn of Varg was so lifelike it made him shudder. The other man, he was unsure of. He’d only ever seen him through the window and never up close, but he believed the image was good. He hoped it was accurate enough to make someone recognize him if they saw the drawing. “How are you holding up?” Jaecar smiled at him as he turned onto the gravel road leading up to the house. “Like I could sleep for a week.” Jaecar smiled at him. “A few more minutes, and then you can go to bed. Do you want something to eat before you crash?” He should eat. When
