Zoe releases a rugged breath when the door closes behind Clyde, and I am instantly by her side.
“Are you okay?” I ask as I rest my hands on her shoulders.
“No,” she grunts. “I’m furious.”
“What’s happening?” Cooper whispers as he enters the room and I let go of Zoe’s shoulders.
“Clyde was here,” I grunt. “And he threatened Zoe.”
