I screamed as my soul slammed against my chest while Hades' power yanked on it. My struggles were useless and I couldn't breathe. Tendrils of light danced between me and Hades. I blinked not knowing what I was looking at. Then a murky-grey pulsing line went from Hades to Dion and behind me two more threads. Was this his magic? And how was I seeing it?
"Stop fighting and all your pain will go away." Hades gritted his teeth as sweat dotted across his forehead. This was hard for him?
Then I might have a chance if I could figure out how to sever these lines. I clenched my fist and every muscle I had to keep my soul from being ripped out. To my left was a pulsing emerald light. It was coming from the book!
But I could read the language much less even the symbols from here.
