Elder Serene and I then walked to an area behind the Medical Ward. It was like a storage room. When Elder Serene opened the door, I could smell the fragrance of herbs.
“Come, sit here. We will prepare some herbs for our patients.”
I followed Elder Serene and sat next to her. Elder Serene took a round woven bamboo container then gave it to me while she took a giant brush and two clean towels. I observed what she did.
Elder Serene walked to a sink on the right of the storage room, then wetting the towel with the water from the sink tap. After that, she walked to the big milling tool, brushed the dust with the giant brush, wiped it with the wet towel, and dried it with another towel. Then she moved the spinning device, and the milling tool started working.
