7– Planned Dates

1038 Words
Lily opened the door to her suite, exhausted from an excruciating extracurricular activities she and Axel had indulged in earlier. As she stepped inside, her eyes widened in surprise. On the plush couch in the living room, a stunning red gown was draped elegantly, catching her attention. A small note attached to the dress read: "For tonight, little bird. Can't wait to see you shine. -A" Lily's heart skipped a beat as she approached the dress, her fingers tracing the intricate lace details. While she walked out of Axel’s suite, she had thought the date was a joke on his end, something he said to deceive her, but now, seeing the dress, she felt a rush of excitement. “Oh gosh, why am I feeling this way towards a man I barely know.” She groaned frustratedly, feeling like a fool for easily opening up to another man when her heart was just broken. But she couldn’t control what her heart and her body wanted to feel. Although she wasn’t exactly sure about her heart, she knew exactly what her body wanted. To always be beneath Axel George. As she stared down at the dress, she heard the door open and shut, soft foot pads approaching her. She immediately knew it was Kate. “Hi,” she muttered. “Hello to you too, Lily,” Kate replied with an attitude, “and thank you for just leaving me out there. . .wait, what is that?” When Kate’s eyes landed on the beautiful red dress on the couch, she completely forgot about her complaint. “A dress,” Lily answers, her tone too excited. “A dress? From who?” Kate’s curiosity peaked. “From Axel.” Lily replies. Kate’s eyes widen, her brows shooting up as though urging Lily to give her more details. “Well. . .I ran into him at the bar where I went to get us drinks, and we went back to his suite. . .” “And?” Kate beamed with excitement. “And we kissed. . .” Lily divulged shyly, her tone hushed. “And?” Kate’s excitement grew. “We touched. . .we did very intimate things but not sex.” Kate squeals excitedly, “you like him! You’re blushing!” “I don’t,” Lily denies, her cheeks heating up with embarrassment. “Yes, you do.” Kate argues, “please tell me more.” “We’re going on a date in two hours.” “And he got you the perfect dress?” Kate fawns, “he’s such a dream.” “Stop it. . .” Lily blushes. From then on, Lily and Kate immersed themselves in getting Lily into the perfect hairdo and makeup for her date. And right after, Lily quickly changed into the gown, feeling like a princess as the silk fabric hugged her curves. The dress was perfect, accentuating her beauty and making her feel confident. As she gazed at her reflection in the mirror, she couldn't help but smile, thinking about Axel's thoughtful gesture. She felt loved and cherished, knowing he had taken the time to choose something so exquisite for her. Just then, her phone buzzed with a text from Axel: "You look breathtaking, little bird. Can't wait to see you downstairs." Wait, how did he know that she was dressed? Are there cameras? Is he watching her every move? Even with the turmoil boiling in her heart, Lily's heart still fluttered, and she couldn't help but feel grateful for this little surprise. She took a deep breath, feeling like the luckiest woman alive, and made her way downstairs to meet her dashing fiancé. Lily descended the grand staircase of the hotel lobby, her red gown shimmering in the soft light. Axel stood by the entrance, dashing in his tailored suit, his eyes locking onto hers with a warm smile. When she reached him, he took her hand and leaned down, placing a quick kiss on the back of her palm, his touch sending shivers down her spine. Thoughts of their activities earlier in the day filled her mind but she quickly shook them off. "You look astonishingly beautiful, little bird," he whispered, his voice husky with admiration. Lily blushed, feeling like a princess. Axel led her out of the lobby, where a sleek black car awaited. He opened the door, helping her in, and then slid into the seat beside her. As the car glided through the Miami streets, Axel turned to Lily, his eyes burning with desire. He leaned in, his lips brushing against hers in a brief, passionate kiss. Lily's heart skipped a beat, her pulse racing. "Where are we going?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Axel smiled mischievously. "We're sailing into the sunset, my love. A private yacht awaits us." Lily's eyes widened in delight. "A yacht?" Axel nodded, his eyes sparkling. "Just us, the sea, and the stars. I wanted to make tonight unforgettable." “Why? Why’re you being so sweet to me, Axel?” Lily asked, her suspicions of Axel’s intentions growing. “Sweet to you?” He asked, “taking my woman, my wife to be on a yacht cruise is too sweet? This is the barest minimum, Lily, and I hope you soon realize that you’re worth more than anything you think I’ve done. And I hope you brace yourself for more, because I do intend to spoil my wife for the rest of our days.” Lily had no more words. She was almost ashamed of herself for suspecting this man whose only intention is to take care of her as a husband should. Now, she has ruined the mood with her insecurities. She almost wallows in misery, but when she felt Axel’s hand on hers, squeezing gently, a small smile crept up her lips. “This is all new to me, Axel,” she whispers, glancing at him briefly. “It might take a while before I’m able to adjust to all these changes happening in my life.” Heaving out a breath, he replies, “I understand, and I am willing to wait for you to come around now matter how long it takes.”
