*Anders POV*
When she was being dragged into Craig's office I felt like my heart was given a jump start all over again. I felt the same thing the first time I saw Jackson. I looked over at Jackson and he gave me that 'I told you so look'. Fûck! She was absolutely gorgeous. I did notice the bruises she tried to hide on her body and face. Seeing that made my blood boil like nothing else could. He hurt what was ours. Okay. Okay. I know she wasn't ours yet, but she will be. I can promise you that. No, let me rephrase that, I can guaran-fûcking-tee it. I can tell by the look on her face, that she wants us to.
When I spot the collar on her neck, I about lose my s**t, but I knew I had to stay calm. I had to hold Jackson back. I had whispered in his ear, just to be patient. We would come for her soon, maybe sooner than expected after seeing her condition. She looked like she was in pain and just wanted to escape. Patience little bunny. Soon. Very soon.

"I don't think this is in my best interest. I will not bow down to the Great Mafia King or anybody else." Craig snarled as he slammed his hands down on his desk forcefully. Both Jackson and I chuckled darkly. "Suit yourself. It is your funeral." Jackson says viciously.
She had left to use the restroom about ten minutes ago and she still hadn't come back. I could tell Craig was getting frustrated because he kept looking toward the restroom. His fists were clenched so tight that they were turning white. I wonder what was taking her so long.
"I think it is best that you leave my fûcking property. My lawyers will be in touch. Excuse me, I need to go check on my fiancé." Craig growled angrily. If she was trying to escape then I needed to buy her as much time as I could. "Actually, what's in my fûcking best interest is that you listen carefully. Jackson." I said dangerously low as I nodded at Jackson and pointed toward Craig.
The look that Jackson had was frightening. I knew he was furious about the marks on our woman. He wanted to do some payback. Well here was his chance. "Yes, Boss," Jackson says viciously and slammed one of his fists into the palm of his other hand.
He stalked towards Craig like a lion ready to pounce his prey. Craig's eyes widened with shock and he tried to move away, but he wasn't fast enough. "What-" Craig snarled but was interrupted by Jackson's fist. Jackson punched him in the stomach, then several times in the face. Craig grunted in pain and then tried to throw a few punches, he got a few hits on Jackson, but Jackson was stronger.
Finally, Jackson grabbed both of Craig's arms and held them behind his back tightly. "Boss? You want a few hits?" Jackson asks calmly. "Get your motherfûcking hands off of me, you bâstard." Craig groaned painfully as he struggled to get away. I walked over and threw a few punches to his face and then to his ribs. I grabbed his hair harshly and forced him to look at me.
Blood dripped out of his mouth and he looked at me with eyes full of rage and contempt. "Stop fûcking with my father's business or next time might be your last," I said with a fierceness. Craig looked directly at me with a smug look and then spit in my face. "Fûck you and your family. No one will tell me how to run my business." he laughed menacingly.
I took the napkin I had in my suit pocket and wiped the spit and blood off my face slowly. No one talks about my family or disrespects them and gets away with it. I don't know what came over me but I pounced on him before Jackson could let go. I landed on top of Craig and Jackson fell to the side with a loud thump.
"Listen very carefully... *PUNCH* you sick motherfûcker... *PUNCH* No one *PUNCH* and I do mean no one... * PUNCH* DISRESPECTS MY FAMILY." I say punching after every other word and then ended up shouting in the end. Jackson had to pull me off of him because all I saw was red.
"Dammit Anders. What the hêll?" he gritted out. "I... I... don't know." I said cautiously as I shook my head in confusion. Craig was laying there unconscious and blood was everywhere. "We need to grab something to blackmail him with so he doesn't open his fûcking mouth," Jackson mumbled. Jackson rushed over to Craig's desk and searched for something he could use against Craig.
I watched as Jackson's face lit up and smiled cruelly when he found what he wanted. He wrote a quick note and left it on Craig's unconscious body. As we were about to leave I rushed to the bathroom to see if there was a chance that Carly was still there. I searched but it was empty. Thank God. She got away.
We left through the emergency door that was to the side of the elevator. I still don't know how she got away without any of us seeing her, but I was thankful she got away.
We left Craig's building and got in my SUV when my phone rang. I looked at the screen and saw it was my Mother. I swiped the screen and answered. "Hey, Mom, What's up?" I said softly. "Anders I don't know what the fûck is going on, but I have some girl on the phone who called your father asking for help from you or Jackson. Are you seriously giving your father's number to everyone? What the fûck son?" my mother yelled angrily.
"Whoa. Whoa. Calm down, mom. What the fûck are you talking about? What girl-" I said but then inhaled sharply, "Wait... what's her name?" I tapped nervously on my thigh. "She said her name was Carly Mitchell. She was whispering and sounded scared." my mom sighed in defeat. "Fûck. Send the call through mom. Hurry." I yelled.
"Alright, but we will have words later Anders. Trust me on that." she gritted out and then transferred the call over. "H-hello? Jackson? Anders? I-is that y-you?" Carly whispered in fear. "Yes, bunny, it's both of us actually," I said as I put the phone on speaker. "Oh thank God. I need your help...please. I am hiding in the janitorial closet downstairs. I know they won't let me leave alone, because Craig ordered them not to. Oh please help me. He is a very bad man. He hurts me so bad. I don't want to be with him." she sobbed.
"Why don't you tell your mother, maybe she could help you," Jackson said cautiously. "No, she is helping him. It's her fault I am with him. She refuses to accept the monster that he is." Carly sniffles. "Okay, we are coming Bunny, just hold on. Don't answer that door until we get there." I say sternly.
She just hiccups and whispers in agreement.
Once we head back inside the emergency exit the alarms begin going off around the whole building. "Fûck, someone either found him or he realized she wasn't there anymore. Hurry Anders we need to find her." Jackson says hurriedly.
Carly directed us on how she got to where she was and when we finally found her, she slung the door open frantically and jumped at Jackson and me. She was trembling and crying uncontrollably. "There, there, little Bunny, we are here," Jackson whispered in her ear as he picked her up bridal style. She clung to his neck and laid her head on his shoulder. We rushed toward the exit only to be stopped by a few security guards.
"Excuse me, but that is Boss's fiancé. Put her down and walk away or the consequences won't be pretty guys. He is looking for her at this very moment." demanded the security guard. Carly tensed and tightened her hold on Jackson. She began shaking her head frantically. "No... No... No... I don't want to go with them. Please... don't make me." she whimpered, "He will hurt me again. Please."
"Well guys, looks like the lady doesn't want to go with you, so that means she's coming with us. Move away or else we are going to have a situation." I said smugly. "Nope, she comes with us. There is no in-between." one of the guards snarled. I pulled out my gun and shot both of them in the knees.
Carly shrieked in fear from the noise. They both fell to the ground groaning in pain. We all snapped our heads behind us when we heard Craig screaming angrily. "CARLY."
We ran out of the building in a rush and just made it to the SUV when Craig and a few other men burst through the doors.
"Fûck! We need to go. NOW." I yelled toward Jackson and Carly. We got in and slammed the door shut so fast. I rushed to lock the door right when Craig and his men started hitting the windows with their fists. "Carly, you will pay dearly for this. You better get out of that fûcking car before I get you out myself." Craig yelled as he pounded harshly on the window.
Carly looked straight at Craig and smiled smugly, "Fûck you." she yelled as she flipped him the bird. Craig roared angrily and pulled a gun out of his pocket and pointed it at the window and pulled the trigger. Carly gasped sharply and hid her face in Jackson's neck. The glass began to slightly crack so Jackson and I flipped him the bird as well, then we took off down the street away from Craig. From the rearview mirror, you could see Craig waving his arms and stomping angrily.
We looked at one another and smiled, then looked down at Carly. She just held on tightly to Jackson and closed her eyes. "That's right Bunny, just calm down. We won't let anything happen to you. We got you. Just rest for now." Jackson mumbled softly. My heart swelled with hope as I looked at Jackson with Carly. Was she really our missing piece we had been longing for?
I gulped inwardly and turned back to the road trying to blink back tears that were threatening to fall from my eyes. I tightened my fists around the steering wheel because I was trembling as well. Fûck! I needed to get a hold of my emotions. I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice Jackson place his hand on top of mine. He smiled softly at me. I smiled back and let my hand go on the steering wheel and placed it in his hand.
He squeezed it slightly.
The look of determination on Jackson's face gave me hope that everything was going to be alright.
It just had to be, otherwise, this was going to destroy us both beyond anything imaginable.
We were putting our hearts out on our sleeves foolishly not thinking about the consequences.
Because in that moment, all that mattered,
was her.
